Context: The development pattern of motor coordination, strength, and functional ability during recovery from anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction.
Objective: To investigate the relationship between motor coordination, functional ability, and strength after ACL reconstruction.
Design: Prospective clinical follow-up study.
New high-throughput sequencing technologies can generate millions of short sequences in a single experiment. As the size of the data increases, comparison of multiple experiments on different cell lines under different experimental conditions becomes a big challenge. In this paper, we investigate ways to compare multiple ChIP-sequencing experiments.

Methods: Eligible patients had stage III or IV pancreatic cancer, ECOG PS 0-2, and no prior gemcitabine.
The typical imaging findings of neonatal non-ketotic hyperglycinemia have rarely been described in the radiologic literature with only few individual cases or small series reported. In this article, we present a case of neonatal onset non-ketotic hyperglycinemia, imaged at 6 days of age, and discuss characteristic MRI and MR spectroscopic findings.

Purpose: To evaluate muscle torque, lower extremity coordination, and knee laxity after ACL reconstruction comparing patients operated on with semitendinosus graft (ST) and patients with combined semitendinosus and gracilis (STGR) grafts.
Methods: Forty-six subjects who underwent ST (n = 23) or STGR harvest (n = 23) ACL reconstruction participated in this study. Quadriceps and hamstring torque were recorded using an isokinetic dynamometer.

Enabling data analysis in large data depositories for high throughput experimental data such as gene microarrays and ChIP-seq is challenging. In this paper, we discuss three methods for integrating QUEST, a data depository for epigenetic experiments, with a web-based data analysis platform GenePattern. These methods are universal and can serve as an exemplary implementation resolving the dilemma facing many similar database systems in integrating data analysis tools.

It is a highly heterogeneous disease, and can be divided roughly into indolent and progressive stages based on classic clinical markers. Immunoglobin heavy chain variable region (IgVH) mutational status was found to be associated with patient survival outcome, and biomarkers linked to the IgVH status has been a focus in the CLL prognosis research field.

The major human species, snaR-A, is an RNA polymerase III transcript with restricted tissue distribution and orthologs in chimpanzee but not rhesus macaque or mouse. We report their expression in human tissues and their evolution in primates.

Methods: From 1996 to 2008, 13 consecutive surgical cases of small bowel tumors were treated at the Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery, and Kütahya State Hospital, Department of General Surgery. Clinical and radiological charts of these patients were reviewed retrospectively from the department database.

Background: A 72-year-old hypertensive woman presented with a 2-month history of right upper quadrant abdominal pain. She had a 15-day history of jaundice, fever with chills and shivering, nausea, vomiting, weight loss and generalized pruritus.
Investigations: Physical examination, laboratory evaluation, transabdominal ultrasonography, magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, brush cytology, laparotomy and histopathology.
Objective: Disease Extent Index-Takayasu (DEI.Tak) is a new index developed for the follow-up of Takayasu's arteritis (TA), assessing only clinical findings without the requirement of imaging. We investigated the effectiveness of DEI.

However, renal injury without direct renal invasion remains poorly understood. The present study aims to define the frequency and the property of the renal involvement in hydatid disease.

Background And Study Aims: Abnormal expression of claudin-4 and beta-catenin play a role in carcinogenesis. The purpose of the present study was to examine claudin-4 and beta-catenin expression in normal and precancerous gastric mucosa.
Patients And Methods: Endoscopic biopsy specimens [normal gastric mucosa (n = 22), intestinal metaplasia (n = 24), dysplasia (n = 18), Helicobacter pylori (H.
The objective of this study was to determine the chemical compositions of the essential oil and hexane extract isolated from the inflorescence, leaf stems, and aerial parts of Florence fennel and the antimicrobial activities of the essential oil, hexane extract, and their major component, anethole, against a large variety of foodborne microorganisms. Gas chromatography and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis showed that the essential oils obtained from inflorescence, leaf stems, and whole aerial parts contained (E)-anethole (59.28-71.

Normal human diploid fibroblasts have limited life span in culture and undergo replicative senescence after 50-60 population doublings. On the contrary, cancer cells typically divide indefinitely and are immortal. Expression of SV40 large T and small t antigens in human fibroblasts transiently extends their life span by 20-30 population doublings and facilitates immortalization.

Objective: Takayasu's arteritis (TA) is a chronic, inflammatory vasculitis affecting the aorta and its major branches. Although it is more prevalent in Far-East Asia, the distribution of the disease is worldwide with different vascular involvement patterns and clinical manifestations. The objective of this study was to evaluate the demographic, clinical, angiographic and prognostic features of TA patients in Turkey.
