Histamine H3 receptors (H3Rs) are known to modulate neurotransmitter release in the nervous system, but their role in cardiac injury remains unclear. The present study aimed to investigate the cardioprotective role of H3Rs in a mouse model of myocardial injury. Forty BALB/c male mice were divided into four groups: Control (SF), Isoproterenol (ISO), Imetit (IMT), and IMT + ISO.

Heavy metal concentrations, which have increased continuously in the environment this century due to anthropogenic factors, severely threaten human and environmental health. Antimony (Sb) is one of the most toxic and harmful heavy metals in terms of human and environmental health. Therefore, the priority research subjects are monitoring the alteration of Sb pollution in the airborne and reducing pollution.

Partial treatment during BPPV diagnostic maneuvers may complicate side identification during supine roll test, especially in canalolithiasis cases.

MATERIAL AND METHODS Between April 2021 and April 2022, 51 patients diagnosed with pars tensa retraction and hearing loss who underwent endoscopic and microscopic cartilage tympanoplasty were included in the study (endoscopic tympanoplasty group: 26 patients, microscopic tympanoplasty group: 25 patients). Pure-tone audiometric data (0.

This study aimed to compare the acute physiological stress responses of students divided into two groups according to their perceived anxiety levels (positive test anxiety, PTA+, and negative test anxiety, PTA-). Heart rate variability (HRV) and electrodermal activity (EDA) were used to assess stress.

Materials And Methods: The study included 45 adult patients diagnosed with chronic otitis media who underwent mastoidectomy with drilling. Pre-operative and post-operative assessments included tests for subjective visual vertical deviation and videonystagmography.
The increase in heavy metal concentrations in the air, especially after the Industrial Revolution, is notable for the scientific world because of the adverse effects that threaten environmental and human health. Among the trace elements, nickel (Ni) is carcinogenic, and all barium (Ba) compounds are toxic. Trace elements are critical for human and environmental health.

In the literature, it has been shown that this modula-tion is used in many nervous system injuries through oxidative stress (OS) and apoptosis mechanisms. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the neuroprotective effects of probiotic (PB) treatment in a rat traumatic brain injury (TBI) model with histological and electroencephalographic (EEG) data.

Methods: A total of 50 patients (study group) were included and standardized lateral and anteroposterior cephalograms were performed. The control group consisted of 50 patients.

There are several ways to assess complexity, but no method has yet been developed for quantitatively calculating the 'loss of fractal complexity' under pathological or physiological states. In this paper, we aimed to quantitatively evaluate fractal complexity loss using a novel approach and new variables developed from Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (DFA) log-log graphics. Three study groups were established to evaluate the new approach: one for normal sinus rhythm (NSR), one for congestive heart failure (CHF), and white noise signal (WNS).

In this paper, the impact of vegetation and built-up areas on the LST and impact of LST on human health are assessed using the Landsat thermal data in Bartin, Turkey. The results show that there is a constant change in the share of vegetation and built-up areas due to rapid urbanization in Bartin.

However, many anesthetics can alter the dynamics of cardiovascular systems. We aimed to compare the effects of two frequently used anesthetics agents on heart rate variability (HRV) parameters in mice.

Economic and industrial development results in worldwide population concentration in cities, leading to increases in impervious surfaces. Thus, the surface temperatures increase and cities are exposed to the urban heat island effect. This study analyzed the changes in the urban heat island effect in the 30 years (from 1990 to 2021) in the central district of Bartin.

Severe neurocognitive and behavioral outcomes are observed in untreated cases. The present paper aims to review clinical experiences and expert recommendations in diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of pediatric PKU patients in Turkey.

This study aims to analyse the effect of OF on the slow phase velocity (SPV) of PN during diagnostic positional manoeuvres (DPMs) with videonystagmography in patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).
Design: DPMs were performed on 58 patients with BPPV, 33 (56.
Today, environmental pollution, air pollution in particular, is among the most important problems in the world. Air pollution, which has become a global issue, is estimated to cause the death of around 1 in 8 people worldwide. Due to the significance of air pollution, all components of air pollution are of great importance for human health, and thus the studies on air pollution are highly important, especially in areas with high population density.

The number of studies conducted on the effects of this exposed radiation on the living things constantly is limited; and almost all of the studies conducted are aimed at measuring the effects of short-term exposure. In addition to this, most of the studies conducted on plants focus on herbaceous plant species.

In Turkey, predictability of California Bearing Ratio values, which may be used in the planning and dimensioning of forest roads, of which about 26% lacks the superstructure, by using soil mechanical properties (cost and time efficient parameters that are easier to determine) is investigated. Simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, artificial neural networks and adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system methods were utilized.
