Steroid-refractory acute graft-versus-host disease (SR-aGVHD) treatment has a low response rate and a high risk of infection in allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The standard approach to be applied in this situation is uncertain. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of alpha-1-antitrypsin (AAT).

The subject of economic recovery after the Coronavirus pandemic has received much attention in the media and by academics in recent years. Pandemic experience creates a new transition between the pre-pandemic era trend and the post-pandemic era trend related to the major economic indicators' time series path. This paper offers a new smooth transition model and a unit root testing procedure to test null of non-stationary against the alternatives of stationary that allow for a pit shape smooth transition from the pre-pandemic trend to post-pandemic trend.

Two different restoration materials, an alkasite-based resin composite and a resinmodified glass ionomer cement were used to assess restoration of non-carious cervical dental lesions. This split mouth randomized controlled trial included 40 patients. After randomization both sides of the dental arch were restored with either an alkasite-based (Cention N, Ivoclar Vivadent) or a resin-modified glass ionomer cement (Voco GmbH) restoration.

Methods And Materials: The longevity of 168 Class IV restorations in 50 adult patients was evaluated, in terms of modified United States Public Health Service criteria, for 4 years. Restorations were performed using a monochromatic layered microhybrid, resin-based composite (RBC) (Essentia, Universal Shade, GC Corporation, Japan; n=76) and polychromatic layered micro/nanohybrid (MD and LE shades, Essentia, GC Corporation, Japan; n=92) RBCs, by a single operator.
Statement Of Problem: Additive manufacturing procedures for fabricating interim restorations include rinsing postprocessing procedures. However, the impact of different rinsing solutions and times on flexural strength is unknown.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to assess the influence of the rinsing solutions and duration, as well as accelerated aging (thermocycling) procedures, on the flexural strength and Weibull characteristics of an additively manufactured interim dental material.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of various fabrication techniques and materials used in implant-supported mandibular overdentures with a Hader bar attachment over added stress distribution. Three-dimensional geometric solid models, consisting of two implants (3.3 mm × 12 mm) placed at the bone level on both mandibular canine regions and a Hader bar structure, were prepared.

This in vitro study evaluated 18 extracted sound mandibular molars with two separate mesial canals and foramina in two groups (n = 9) with 5−20° (moderate) and 20−40° (severe) root canal curvature. The number of microcracks in the root canal walls was counted at baseline by micro-CT.

How the heat-pressing technique performs in this respect is also not clear.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to investigate the effect of an adhesive system-cement combination, the heat-pressing technique, and thermomechanical aging on the retention force between titanium bases and PEEK specimens.
Ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 (UCHL1) is a de-ubiquitinating enzyme enriched in neuronal and gonadal tissues known to regulate the cellular stores of mono-ubiquitin and protein turnover. While its function in maintaining proper motor neuron function is well established, investigation into its role in the health and function of reproductive processes is only just beginning to be studied. Single-cell-sequencing analysis of all ovarian cells from the murine perinatal period revealed that Uchl1 is very highly expressed in the developing oocyte population, an observation which was corroborated by high levels of oocyte-enriched UCHL1 protein expression in oocytes of all stages throughout the mouse reproductive lifespan.

Methods: A scoping review was performed according to the PRISMA extension using PubMed. The electronic search was supplemented with a manual search for a complete overview.
Acid-etching is one of the most popular processes for the surface treatment of dental implants. In this paper, acid-etching of commercially pure titanium (cpTi) in a 48% HSO solution is investigated. The etching process time (0-8 h) and solution temperature (25-90 °C) are assumed to be the most effective operational conditions to affect the surface roughness parameters such as arithmetical mean deviation of the assessed profile on the surface (R) and average of maximum peak to valley height of the surface over considered length profile (R), as well as weight loss (WL) of the dental implants in etching process.

Materials And Methods: CAD/CAM materials, Vita Mark II (VM), IPS e.max CAD (EM), Celtra Duo (CD), G-Ceram (GC), and Lava Ultimate (LU) blocks were milled with CEREC MCXL.
The importance of the nonexistence of a unit for equilibrium constants is well-recognized by the chemistry community. However, it is still common to encounter the use of equilibrium constants with units in recent chemistry education papers, which may mislead students and even instructors. This is mainly due to the lack of studies on the representation of the derivations of equilibrium constants in a logical manner.

This study evaluated the clinical performance of implant supported, extra-orally cemented, monolithic zirconia crowns after a follow-up to 18 months. Thirty-one patients with 50 posterior dental implants were consecutively selected for this study. A total of 50 crowns were cemented onto titanium abutments extra-orally and then screwed to the implants with the required torque intra-orally.

Purpose: To identify the most effective cleaning method for saliva-contaminated zirconia surface before adhesive cementation through a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Materials And Methods: PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases were searched to select in vitro studies published through October 2021. Studies that did not perform aging methods, had a sample size less than 5 per group, or did not present a group with zirconia contaminated only with saliva were excluded.
Backround And Aim: The benefit of pre-transplant consolidation in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) who achieved first complete remission (CR1) has not yet been clearly demonstrated. Here, we aimed to investigate the relationship between the treatments received before transplantation and transplant outcome in Ph-ALL patients who underwent myeloablative allo-HSCT in CR1.
Patients And Methods: A total of 55, 32 (58.
Objectives: To test the failure load and failure mode of a novel implant-crown interface specifically designed for the fabrication of fully personalized, abutment-free monolithic zirconia CAD-CAM crowns compared to conventional implant-abutment interfaces involving prefabricated or centrally manufactured abutments for zirconia CAD-CAM crowns.
Methods: Implants (N=48) were divided into groups (n=12) according to different implant-abutment interface designs: (1) internal implant connection with personalized, abutment-free CAD-CAM crowns (Abut-Free-Zr), (2) internal conical connection with customized, centrally manufactured zirconia CAD-CAM abutments (Cen-Abut-Zr), (3) prefabricated titanium base abutments from manufacturer 1 (Ti-Base-1), (4) additional prefabricated titanium base abutments from manufacturer 2 (Ti-Base-2). All specimens were restored with a screw-retained monolithic zirconia CAD-CAM molar crown and subjected to thermomechanical aging (1.
