Background: Idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM) is a chronic inflammatory disorder characterised by the formation of non-caseating granulomas in breast tissue, primarily affecting young women of childbearing age. The aetiology of IGM remains unclear, with potential factors including trauma, hormonal influences, and autoimmune responses. Recent studies suggest that immune dysregulation may play a critical role in IGM, highlighting the need for exploration of biomarkers involved in inflammation and immune modulation, particularly LL-37, galectin-3, IL-36, and TLR3.

This study evaluates the roles of immune checkpoint receptors on NK cell phenotype and functions both before and after circulation through tumor tissue. Twenty non-small cell lung cancer patients undergoing surgery and 21 healthy controls were included.

Methods: This retrospective study was performed in Department of General Surgery at Erciyes University School of Medicine between January 2010 and January 2023. Our analysis included Cushing syndrome patients who underwent unilateral laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LA) with the transabdominal lateral approach.
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate difficulties in emotion regulation, emotional eating, and impulsivity in children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM).
Materials And Methods: The study included 53 children who were diagnosed with T1DM, and a control group of 50 subjects. The Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia for School-age Children-Present and Lifetime Version, Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale- Short Form (DERS-16), Emotional Eating Scale-Child and Adolescent Form (EES-C), and the Barratt Impulsivity Scale 11-Short Form (BIS-11) were administered to the participants.
Introduction And Objectives: Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) is often accompanied by fetal and maternal complications.
Materials And Methods: Retrospective review of the clinical course of women with ICP and their neonates treated at our medical center over a 10-year period. Special attention was paid to the maternal and neonatal response to 2 different modes of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) administration.
p53-mediated cell cycle arrest during DNA damage is dependent on the induction of p21 protein, encoded by the CDKN1A gene. p21 inhibits cyclin-dependent kinases required for cell cycle progression to guarantee accurate repair of DNA lesions. Hence, fine-tuning of p21 levels is crucial to preserve genomic stability.

Methods: Our study included 72 adolescents followed up with T1DM and 72 healthy adolescents and their mothers. Psychiatric evaluation of children was performed according to DSM-IV diagnostic criteria.
Background: The study of rearrangement in non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) has gained importance as it enables personalized treatment of NSCLC with tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Therefore, it is important that the assessment tests become more standardized. In this study, we compared the two immunohistochemistry (IHC) antibodies (D4D6 and SP384 clones) and consistency with the fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) results in NSCLC.

Patients And Methods: One hundred and sixty-three patients underwent LA at our clinic from January 2014 to December 2020. Bilateral LA was performed in 20 of these 163 patients.
Objective: Pediatric obesity negatively affects many areas of mental health, especially anxiety and depression. This study aimed to investigate the effects of obesity on anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and emotion regulation in children and adolescents.
Methods: Our study included 50 children and adolescents aged 11-17 years with a diagnosis of obesity and 48 control participants.
Introduction: Although childbirth is generally seen as a positive phenomenon, negative childbirth events can be experienced as well. Midwifery students are at risk of encountering traumatic events throughout their education. The primary aim of this research was to reveal midwifery students' experiences of witnessing traumatic events at childbirth.

We conducted this retrospective evaluation to determine whether these symptoms, manifesting in different forms, such as cheerful laughter, laughing, smiling, and sobbing had any value in terms of etiology or localization.
Methods: A total of 31 patients who exhibited bouts of laughing or crying and who were under follow-up between 2000 and 2019 at tertiary epilepsy centers were included in the study.
Aim: We aimed to evaluate (immunohistochemically) the YAP expression in breast cancer patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy and to clarify the relationship between the molecular characteristics, treatment response and survival data and the YAP expression, and hence, to clarify the prognostic significance.
Material And Methods: One hundred and four patients who were diagnosed with Breast Cancer between 2015-2020 and underwent Neo Adjuvant Chemotherapy were included in the study. Estrogen Receptor(ER), Progesterone Receptor(PR), Human Epidermal Growth Receptor-2(HER2) and Ki-67.

In our manuscript, we propose a common terminology in the Turkish language for the newly adopted WHO classification of the CNS tumors, also known as the WHO CNS 5th edition. We also comment on the applicability of this new scheme in low and middle income countries, and warn about further deepening disparities between the global north and the global south. This division, augmented by the recent COVID-19 pandemic, threatens our ability to coordinate efforts worldwide and may create significant disparities in the diagnosis and treatment of cancers between the "haves" and the "have nots".

However, how CDYL1 elicits DSB-induced silencing is not fully understood. Here, we identify a CDYL1-dependent local decrease in the transcriptionally active marks histone lysine crotonylation (Kcr) and crotonylated lysine 9 of H3 (H3K9cr) at AsiSI-induced DSBs, which correlates with transcriptional silencing.

The aim of our study was to evaluate the relationship of sleep habits and sleep chronotype with the quality of life and behavioral problems in children with DRE.
Materials And Methods: In our study, 2-11-year-old children, who were either healthy or diagnosed with DRE, were evaluated.
Janus kinase (JAK)-signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) pathway is important in the process of inflammation and fibrosis. The adenosine 5'-monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) enzyme can affect JAK/STAT pathway. Tofacitinib is a pan-JAK inhibitör.

The treatment of patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in recent years has been increasingly guided by biomarker testing. Testing has centered on driver genetic alterations involving the epidermal growth factor receptor () and anaplastic lymphoma kinase () rearrangements. The presence of these mutations is predictive of response to targeted therapies such as EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and ALK TKIs.
