Personalized approach in arrhythmology by genetic-based data: a case report.

The results of molecular genetic testing may affect recommended treatment or therapeutic decisions and risk assessment, may help with identification of family members at risk. Here, we report a case of a young patient with a paradoxical combination of two inherited arrhythmic syndromes and demonstrate the role of genetic testing as one of the basis of personalized approach in diagnosis, treatment and prevention complications of inherited channelopathies complications. Integration of genetic testing results into clinical practice is a successful example of the concept of personalized medicine.

Biobanking as a necessary tool for research in the field of personalized medicine in the scientific medical center.

The National Medical Research Center for Preventive Medicine of Russia (NMRCPM) conducts epidemiological and clinical research for the development of personalized medicine. This is why NMRCPM has faced the problem of how to standardize preanalytical conditions for all biospecimens from various scientific projects and of how to provide long-term responsible standardized regulated safe storage of blood and its derivatives. This article describes various aspects of establishing a biobank in a large medical center dedicated to integrating the biomarkers research activities of different departments.

Adherence to antihypertensive medication in Russia: a scoping review of studies on levels, determinants and intervention strategies published between 2000 and 2017.

Background: Arterial hypertension (HT) is common in the Russian adult population, with half of affected individuals inadequately controlled. Low adherence to medication seems likely to be a factor. We report a scoping review of studies on adherence to antihypertensive therapy (AHT) in Russia to determine the extent of research undertaken, the frequency of adherence among adults diagnosed with HT, methodologies used in the studies, and their ability to describe determinants of adherence.
