Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) with rhombohedral (3R) stacking order are excellent platforms to realize multiferroelectricity. In this work, we demonstrate the electrical switching of ferroelectric orders in bilayer, trilayer, and tetralayer 3R-MoS dual-gate devices by examining their reflection and photoluminescence (PL) responses under sweeping out-of-plane electric fields. We observe sharp shifts in excitonic spectra at different critical fields with pronounced hysteresis.

However, most of the reported HTO-type compounds exhibit narrow optical bandgaps because of the d-d electronic transition of compositional d transition metals and lone pair electrons effect of Se/Te, which hinder their applications in the high-energy field, such as deep-ultraviolet (deep-UV) region. In this work, a new fluorophosphate, (NH)[ScF(PO)](POF) exhibiting HTO-topological structures is reported.

The approach accurately predicts ZT values with only 500 initial structures (3% of 16,512 candidates), achieving an R above 0.91 and a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.

Methods: We conducted a prospective, single-center trial to investigate the diagnostic performance of sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) combined with wire localized lymph node biopsy (WLNB) of the clip-marked node as an axillary staging technique in patients with node-positive breast cancer after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT).
Results: A total of 233 patients were enrolled, 208 of whom were included in the analysis.
We present an effective strategy for developing the dispersing strong-binding metal In on the surface of weak-binding metal Zn, which modulates the binding energy of the reaction intermediates and further facilitates the efficient conversion of CO to formate. The In-Zn interface (In-Zn2) benefits from the formation of active sites through favorable orbital interactions, leading to a Faradaic efficiency of 82.7% and a formate partial current density of 12.

No large sample size survival data for this operation have been reported worldwide.
Methods: There are 212 primary breast cancer patients who were prepared to receive BCS with IPBR of pedicled TDAP flaps in our institution from June 2013 to December 2017.
Background & Aims: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) frequency is increasing in patients with cirrhosis and these individuals often experience acute kidney injury (AKI). Direct comparisons of outcomes between AKI-only versus AKI on CKD (AoCKD) among patients with cirrhosis are not well described.
Methods: A total of 2057 patients with cirrhosis and AKI across 11 hospital networks from the HRS-HARMONY consortium were analyzed (70% AKI-only and 30% AoCKD).

Microfluidic microbial fuel cells (MMFC) are one of the most promising power sources. However, due to the lack of clarity in the internal operating mechanism, the output performance is suboptimal. Thus, a comprehensive two-dimensional cathode dual-population model is developed to gain deeper insights into internal workings.

The P97 and P46 proteins are major antigens of Mhp, with the R1 region of P97 possessing full adhesive capability. Studies have shown that the main antigenic regions of Mhp P42 and P65 proteins exhibit strong immunogenicity.

There is no evidence that vinorelbine alone can be used as an adjuvant intensive therapy for such patients at present.
Methods: We recruited TNBC patients with clinical stage of T1-4/N1-3/M0, who received NAC with 8 cycles of anthracycline sequential paclitaxel and had residual tumor in axillary lymph node after surgery.
The red imported fire ant (RIFA, Buren) represents a significant invasive pest in China, exerting extensive negative impacts on ecosystems. The invasion of RIFA not only poses a severe threat to biodiversity within the environment; inappropriate controlling measures can also adversely affect community dynamics. Therefore, while implementing effective management strategies to control the proliferation of RIFA populations, it is imperative to evaluate the potential effects of these measures on the structure of local biological communities to safeguard native biodiversity.

The CO electroreduction reaction has advantages in clean and pollution-free carbon conversion, but it still faces challenges in carbon utilization efficiency and improving the selectivity of C products. Although the dynamic Cu state is known to favor the C-C coupling process, the suitable Cu species for electrocatalytic reduction of CO are difficult to maintain under the conditions of strong reduction and large current. Herein, we propose a Ce doping strategy to stabilize the Cu state (Ce/CuO) during the CORR process, which enables a high Faradaic efficiency of 60 % for multi-carbon products (40 % for CH, 14 % for CHCHOH, and 6 % for CHCOOH), and 25 h stability at -1.

The local prebiotic origin of D-amino acid enantiomeric excess in natural systems remains an unsolved conundrum. Herein, we demonstrate the formation of enantiomeric excess (ee) D-amino acids through photocatalytic reductive amination of α-keto acids on natural pyrite.

Current approaches to SHG control often depend on nonresonant conditions or symmetry breaking via single-gate control. Here, we employ dual-gate bilayer WSe to demonstrate an SHG enhancement concept that leverages strong exciton resonance and a layer-dependent exciton-polaron effect.

Physical exercise is one of the key factors for improving the overall health and quality of life of individuals, but the role of square dance exercise and the quality of life of middle-aged and older adults have not yet been clarified.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the associations between square dance exercise and the quality of life of middle-aged and older adults and its mechanism of action, including its effects on physical health and mental health, with negative emotions and attitudes towards aging as mediating variables.
The development of high-performance sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) relies on enhancing the electrochemical properties of the electrodes, particularly the transition metal compounds (TMCs) through effective carbon coatings. Herein, a straightforward approach using polymerized natural pitch-derived carbon (PNPC) via step-growth polymerization regulates the lattice strain in NiS-NiO heterostructures (NSNO) on nickel foam (NF). This method replaces the complex multistep carbon coatings with a cost-effective liquid-phase application of PNPC, followed by pyrolysis to create PNPC@NSNO/NF.

High systolic blood pressure (SBP) is a known risk factor for both PRISm and dementia. This study aimed to investigate whether elevated SBP may mediate the relationship between PRISm and cognitive function in older adults.

Here, we show that RUVBL2 in the PVH is significantly reduced during energy deficit, and knockout (KO) of PVH RUVBL2 results in hyperphagic obesity in mice. RUVBL2-expressing neurons in the PVH (PVH) exert the anorexigenic effect by projecting to the arcuate hypothalamus, the dorsomedial hypothalamus, and the parabrachial complex.

Ag has been known to be a typical metal catalyst, producing CO in CO electroreduction. Most existing few-shot learning (FSL) methods require a large amount of labeled data in meta-training, which is a major limit. To reduce the requirement of labels, a semi-supervised meta-training (SSMT) setting has been proposed for FSL, which includes only a few labeled samples and numbers of unlabeled samples in base classes. However, existing methods under this setting require class-aware sample selection from the unlabeled set, which violates the assumption of unlabeled set.
