Aim: The study aimed to compare long-term vaccine-induced humoral immunity following different vaccines regimens.

Methods: Anti-S-RBD total antibody levels were measured in blood samples of 167 participants nearly 6 months post-vaccination. Participants had received one; two or four doses of Pfizer vaccine or who received a third dose of mRNA vaccine (Pfizer) and primed with mRNA (Pfizer/Moderna), adenoviral (AstraZeneca/Jonson & Jonson) or inactivated (CoronaVac/Sinopharm) vaccine.

Object: The study aimed to utilize the peripheral blood immunological parameters and resulting individual and combined inflammatory indices [neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR), lymphocyte/monocyte ratio (LMR) and C-reactive protein/lymphocyte ratio (CLR)] in predicting the prognosis and mortality in COVID-19 patients.

Materials And Methods: The measurements of individual and combined inflammatory indices (NLR, LMR and CLR) were performed at hospital admission and at last day of hospitalization for COVID-19 patients.

Results: Prominent elevation of NLR and CLR among patients with refractory disease admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and deceased patients was found when compared with moderate ill patients and healthy controls.

This work presents a rapid, low-cost, highly sensitive and specific capacitive sensor for detection of Gram negative bacteria in a field setting. Recognition of Gramnegative bacteria is based on specific detection of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) by LPS-specific aptamer probe immobilized on electrode sensors. An inhomogeneous AC electric field is applied on sensor electrodes and induces positive dielectrophoresis that attracts LPS particles to the sensor electrodes for rapid detection.
