Providers directly impact client experiences and clinical outcomes; it is important to understand how providers offer contraceptive care and the factors influencing this care. This systematic review summarizes recent research on providers, their perspectives, experiences, barriers, and facilitators to offering contraceptive counseling, education, and care.

Client-centeredness is a core element of quality care; however, evidence suggests that the provision of client-centered contraceptive counseling needs improvement. This systematic review summarizes recent evidence on client preferences related to contraceptive care, including how client-centered approaches inform outcomes.

Importance: In December 2023, the Biden-Harris Administration released a proposed framework for exercising government march-in rights (effectively granting compulsory licenses for those patents to generic drug makers) under the Bayh-Dole Act on patents on taxpayer-funded drugs, which has renewed questions about whether march-in rights could promote cost savings through generic competition or harm pharmaceutical innovation.

Objectives: To determine the feasibility of using march-in rights to remove patent barriers to generic competition.

Design, Setting, And Participants: This cross-sectional study examined government funding information from multiple sources for patents listed in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Orange Book from 1985 to 2023.

Limited Bedding and Nesting as a Model for Early-Life Adversity in Mice.

Early-life adversity (ELA), such as abuse, neglect, lack of resources, and an unpredictable home environment, is a known risk factor for developing neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression. Animal models for ELA have been used to study the impact of chronic stress on brain development, and typically rely on manipulating the quality and/or quantity of maternal care, as this is the major source of early-life experiences in mammals, including humans. Here, a detailed protocol for employing the Limited Bedding and Nesting (LBN) model in mice is provided.

Heterologous functional analysis and expression patterns of gibberellin 2-oxidase genes of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.).

The level of bioactive gibberellins (GAs) in plants is regulated partly by their inactivation, mainly by the action of GA 2-oxidases (GA2oxs). This study identified three new GA2ox genes in barley: HvGA2ox1, HvGA2ox3 and HvGA2ox6. Analysis of their nucleotide and putative amino acid sequences revealed that they share high sequence identity with other plant GA2oxs and their corresponding proteins.

Background: Our objective was to review the latest evidence on resuscitation care for maternal cardiac arrest (MCA) and gain expert consensus on best practices to inform an evidence-based curriculum.

Methods: We convened a multidisciplinary panel of stakeholders in MCA to develop an evidence-based simulation training, Obstetric Life Support™ (OBLS). To inform the learning objectives, we used a novel three-step process to achieve consensus on best practices for maternal resuscitation.

Quality assessment of optic nerve sheath diameter ultrasonography: Scoping literature review and Delphi protocol.

Background And Purpose: The optic nerve is surrounded by the extension of meningeal coverings of the brain. When the pressure in the cerebrospinal fluid increases, it causes a distention of the optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD), which allows the use of this measurement by ultrasonography (US) as a noninvasive surrogate of elevated intracranial pressure. However, ONSD measurements in the literature have exhibited significant heterogeneity, suggesting a need for consensus on ONSD image acquisition and measurement.
