[Combination strategies for checkpoint inhibition: Current practices and perspectives].

T-cell checkpoint blockade therapies have revolutionized treatment protocols and prognosis in patients with cancer. Pointed out by the success of PD-1 (programmed cell death-1) plus CTLA-4 (cytotoxic-T-lymphocyte associated antigen 4) blockade in patients with melanoma, the perspective of new synergistic immunotherapy combinations seems to be an important opportunity to improve outcomes for patients. In this article, we first focus on immunotherapy combinations that have shown their efficiency and that are currently approved in solid tumors.
