Background And Objective: Given the uncertainty regarding the role of radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) as part of a multimodal treatment strategy for upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) patients with cN+ disease, we aimed to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of the corresponding literature.
Methods: Using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses guidelines, we identified 17 observational comparative and noncomparative studies, published between January 2000 and September 2024, evaluating UTUC patients with cTanyN+M0 disease (P) who received RNU as part of a multimodal treatment strategy (I), as compared with any treatment strategy if applicable (C), to assess oncological or postoperative outcomes (O). Meta-analyses were further performed, as appropriate.

The aim of this study was to compare the image quality of standard and accelerated T2 weighted turbo-spin-echo (TSE) images of the prostate reconstructed with and without DLR and to find associations between perceived image quality and calculated image characteristics.
Methods: In a cohort of 47 prospectively enrolled consecutive patients referred for bi-parametric prostate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), two T2-TSE acquisitions in the transverse plane were acquired on a 3T scanner-a standard T2-TSE sequence and a short sequence accelerated by a factor of two using compressed sensing (CS).

Purpose: A re-transurethral resection of the bladder (re-TURB) is a well-established approach in managing non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) for various reasons: repeat-TURB is recommended for a macroscopically incomplete initial resection, restaging-TURB is required if the first resection was macroscopically complete but contained no detrusor muscle (DM) and second-TURB is advised for all completely resected T1-tumors with DM in the resection specimen. This study assessed the long-term outcomes after repeat-, second-, and restaging-TURB in T1-NMIBC patients.
Methods: Individual patient data with tumor characteristics of 1660 primary T1-patients (muscle-invasion at re-TURB omitted) diagnosed from 1990 to 2018 in 17 hospitals were analyzed.

Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 beta (HNF1B) is a tissue specific transcription factor, which seems to play an important role in the carcinogenesis of several tumors. In our study we focused on analyzing HNF1B in prostate carcinoma (PC) and adenomyomatous hyperplasia (AH), as well as its possible relation to the upstream gene EZH2 and downstream gene ECI2. The results of our study showed that on an immunohistochemical level, the expression of HNF1B was low in PC, did not differ between PC and AH, and did not correlate with any clinical outcomes.

Methods: We analysed a group of 395 men planned for a prostate biopsy who underwent a mpMRI of the prostate evaluated using the PIRADS v1 criteria. All patients had their PHI measured before prostate biopsy.

An early single instillation of intravesical chemotherapy (SICI) used immediately after transurethral resection of the bladder (TURB) can significantly reduce the recurrence rate in selected patients with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). SICI should be used in patients with low-risk and with selected intermediate-risk tumours, in particular for multiple primary small papillary tumours, single primary papillary tumours >3cm, and single recurrent papillary tumours recurring >1yr after the previous resection. The available data do not support any recommendation to reduce the role of SICI in patients after fluorescence cystoscopy-guided TURB or en bloc TURB.
