Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate if COVID-19 lockdown affected stress-perception and burnout in chiropractic students from our institution.
Methods: Stress and burnout in students were assessed using the Perceived Stress Scale and the Maslach Burnout Inventory. The surveys were sent out electronically in March 2020 to chiropractic students enrolled at our college.
Objective: Previous investigations have studied the relationship between grit and academic performance, and it has been reported that grittier students perform better academically. The objectives of this study are to measure chiropractic students' grittiness and to explore the correlation between grit and academic performance.
Methods: We distributed the Short Grit Scale (Grit-S) questionnaire to chiropractic students in electronic form.
Objective: High levels of stress and burnout are known to negatively impact academic success, quality of life, and well-being of students. The purpose of this study was to investigate the degrees of stress and burnout levels of students from several European chiropractic colleges.
Methods: Stress and burnout were assessed using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) and the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS).
Objective: The purpose of this pilot study was to explore chiropractic graduates' perceived preparedness for practice in the 7 key competencies of the Canadian Medical Education Directives for Specialists.
Methods: An anonymous 5-point Likert scale electronic questionnaire was distributed to graduates from the 2014-2016 cohorts of 9 European chiropractic colleges accredited by the European Council of Chiropractic Education. For each group under 1 competency role, the mean overall score was calculated.
Premise Of The Study: Plant responses to past climate change could have been shaped by life-history traits. Here we explore the influence of life form on the response of xerophytic plants to Quaternary climate fluctuations, through a comparison of genetic patterns of codistributed herbaceous and shrubby lineages of the genus Nolana.
Methods: We reconstructed the phylogeographic history of a herbaceous lineage of three species of Nolana distributed from a northern arid zone (30°S) to a southern wet-temperate (42°S) zone, by sequencing two cpDNA regions.
The genus Oliveiriella (Chironomidae, Orthocladiinae) was erected by Wiedenbrug & Fittkau (1997). The adults have characteristic black spots on their wings and other characteristics similar to the genus Cricotopus. Pupal skins are very characteristic with strong short spines in the anal lobe instead of setae, while larvae are distinguishable by the long anal papillae and the intense blue color of their body.

We found a 140T→A substitution that produces an Ile46Asn change located at the N-domain of the enzyme and we suggested that the decrease of the PGK activity is probably related to a loss of enzyme stability. In this paper, by analyzing whole hemolysates and cloned enzymes, we show that both enzymes possess similar kinetic properties (although some differences are observed in the Km values) and the same electrophoretic mobility.

However, their utility is under discussion as results in human and animal models are controversial. In this work, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), creatine kinase (CK) and cardiac troponin I (TnI) were studied as serologic markers of acute rejection after heterotopical heart transplantation in rats.

However, whether increased HNF1alpha expression might be beneficial or deleterious for beta-cells is unknown. Furthermore, although it is clear that HNF1alpha is required for beta-cell function, it is not known whether this role is cell autonomous or whether there is a restricted developmental time frame for HNF1alpha to elicit gene activation in beta-cells.

However, no data are available concerning metabolic changes during acute rejection episodes. Heterotopic heart transplantations in rats were done using Lewis rats as donors and recipients as a control group.

The addition of new diseases such as AIDS, which principally affect the young population, to those inevitable deaths brought about through causes such as traffic accidents has increased interest in this public health problem. The number of deaths and the adjusted global mortality rates amongst men and women of 15-34 years did not increase in Navarra in the 1985-1995 period.

Aim: To assess the effectiveness and rates of reinfection of two therapeutic modalities H pylori infection in adult patients with duodenal ulcer or non ulcer dyspepsia.
Methods: During upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, 5 antral and 2 fundic biopsies were obtained and sent for microbiological and anatomopathological study.
Background: histological alterations of gastric mucosa and its colonization by Helicobacter pylori are postuled to be implicated in the pathogenesis of non ulcer dyspepsia.
Aim: to study the possible relationships between histological gastritis and Helicobacter pylori in non ulcer dyspepsia symptomatology.
Patients And Methods: fifty four patients (39 females) with non ulcer dyspepsia whose ages ranged from 17 to 68 years were subjected to an upper GI endoscopy with gastric mucosa biopsy samples for histological study and microbiological identification of Helicobacter pylori.
We conducted a double blind random study on 79 patients with gastric ulcer: 39 received sucralfate, 1 g 4 times a day (Group 1) and 40 received a single evening dose of famotidine, 40 mg (Group 2). At 4 weeks, endoscopy revealed healing of the ulcer in 46% of patients in Group 1 and 40% in Group 2 (NS). At 8 weeks, corresponding figures were 90% and 75% (NS).
