Otomyiasis was diagnosed in the right ear of a 3-month-old goose. Twenty-three of 25 larvae were in the meatus acusticus externus, and 2 larvae were under the skin. The larvae were in the third larval stage of Sarcophaga spp.

A male Rottweiler dog was brought to the Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Veterinary Clinics with the complaint of injury. On examination, on the right rear side of the dog, Myiasis larvae were found. Twenty-seven were collected and larval mouth parts and posterior stigmas were dissected.

Myiasis was first described by Hope in 1840. Since then, many cases of myiasis affecting different human organs have been reported. Oral myiasis is very rare in healthy persons but occurs mainly in the tropics and associated with inadequate public and personal hygiene.
