Pulmonary thromboendarterectomy is a potentially curative option for most patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). However, a special group of patients with CTEPH requires simultaneous cardiac procedures. We report a rare case of successful surgical treatment of a CTEPH patient with a left anterior descending artery myocardial bridge.

Introduction: Metabolic syndrome (MS) negatively affects the quality of ejaculate, especially in patients with chronic prostatitis.

Material And Methods: To determine the effect of metabolic syndrome on semen parameters in patients with tuberculosis of the prostate (TP), a study of 72 patients with prostatic tuberculosis was conducted. MS was diagnosed when at least three of the five following medical conditions were found: central obesity, elevated levels of plasma triglycerides, high blood pressure, hyperglycemia and decreased levels of high-density lipoproteins.

Introduction: Modern TB patient has lost the physical appearance (habitus phtisicus) typical for the previous years. Moreover, patients with different tuberculosis localizations also have different anthropomorphic characteristics.

Material And Methods: To determine anthropomorphic characteristics of patients with tuberculosis of the prostate, several parameters were compared between 95 male patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and 49 patients with prostatic tuberculosis.

Introduction: Genital tuberculosis impairs male reproductive function. Given that tuberculosis of the prostate has been found at autopsy in 77% of men who died of tuberculosis of all locations, the problem is highly relevant.

Aim: To develop and test a method of restoring/preserving fertility in patients with prostatic tuberculosis and to evaluate its effectiveness.

The quadricuspid aortic valve is a very uncommon malformation associated with aortic insufficiency, aortic stenosis, endocarditis, and ascending aortic dilatation. We report four cases of this aortic valve malformation. One patient with severe aortic regurgitation and moderate aortic dilatation required aortic valve replacement.

A method of non-invasive human primary motor cortex mapping has been developed. In 18 healthy right-handed subjects magnetic brain responses caused by repeated voluntary left or right index finger movements were studied. Movement onsets were derived from the accelerometer signal.

In order to analyze the structure of urogenital tuberculosis, retrospective analysis of medical records of 131 patients with newly diagnosed urogenital tuberculosis observed in the Novosibirsk Regional TB Dispensary from 2009 to 2011 was performed. The renal tuberculosis is main form in the structure is urotuberculosis, detected in 75% of patients, and widespread destructive forms of the disease were diagnosed in more than half of cases. Isolated nephrotuberculosis was more often diagnosed in women--56.

Reconstruction of postinfarction aneurysm of the left ventricle (LV) and plasty of the mitral valve without implantation in combination with coronary shunting or without it were used in 81 patients with ischemic heart disease. Correction of mitral insufficiency was fulfilled in 40 patients by an access via the left atrium, in 41 patients--from the LV in its reconstruction. Lethality in the nearest postoperative period was 3.

Effectiveness of prolonged coronarography was assessed for investigation of venous heart anatomy with reference to etiology of the disease and heart chamber sizes. It was shown that lesions of the coronary arteries and morphometrical indices of the heart did not influence the heart venous anatomy. A detailed analysis of patients with ischemic heart disease and anamnesis of myocardial infarction has revealed the absence of the heart vein in the zone of old myocardial infarction.

The aortal valve anomaly was studied in 179 patients using intraoperative examination and morphometry and histologic investigation of an excised cusps. The pronounced form and size asymmetry of the valve cusps revealed in Laubry-Pezzi syndrome and also histologic signs of their primary hemodynamic traumatization causes the predisposition for the progress of the aortal valve insufficiency, development of infectious endocarditis and rheumatism.

In experiment of 16 animals the morpho-functional transformations taking place in skeletal-muscular transplant while various methods of artificial heart ventricle creation and his training application were studied. It was established that, as a rule, in autotransplant the reversible structural changes are taking place, what stipulates the necessity of keeping of the "latent" period 14-21 days long between the operation conducted and the beginning of training stimulation of heart ventricles, manufactured of a skeletal muscle.
