While the branched DNA (bDNA) assay is an established bioanalytical method for measurement of lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-encapsulated messenger RNA (mRNA) pharmacokinetic parameters, reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) has been considered as an alternative platform. RT-qPCR and bDNA platforms were compared for sensitivity, specificity, correlation, and overall assay performance using serum and tissue samples from 2 nonclinical mouse studies of a therapeutic mRNA candidate, LNP-PAH-mRNA, which encodes for human phenylalanine hydroxylase enzyme. Noble gas transport through geologic media has important applications in the prediction and characterization of measured gas signatures related to underground nuclear explosions (UNEs). Retarding processes such as adsorption can cause significant species fractionation of radionuclide gases, which has implications for measured and predicted signatures used to distinguish radioxenon originating from civilian nuclear facilities or from UNEs. Accounting for the effects of variable water saturation in geologic media on tracer transport is one of the most challenging aspects of modeling gas transport because there is no unifying relationship for the associated tortuosity changes between different rock types, and reactive transport processes such as adsorption that are affected by the presence of water likewise behave differently between gas species.

In ruminants, major long-chain fatty acids, such as linoleic acid (18:2, omega-6) and α-linolenic acid (18:3, omega-3), originate from dietary sources and reach the milk via the bloodstream. Since forages are the primary source of long-chain fatty acids for such animals, they are potential targets for improving milk lipid composition.

Obstetric difficult airway management has emerged as a critical safety issue, and unsuccessful intubation can lead to morbidity and mortality. A literature review of difficult and failed obstetric intubations from the 1970s to 2015 shows that the incidence of failed intubation is unchanged, remaining at one per 390 anesthetics. Our obstetric case report highlights an obstetric difficult airway secondary to limited mouth opening; rescue of the airway with an i-gel®; and establishment of a definitive airway with the aid of an Aintree intubation catheter and flexible fiberoptic scope-guided intubation through the i-gel®, a second-generation supraglottic airway.

Slow oscillation (SO) brainwaves observed during sleep have been shown to reflect the process of memory consolidation, that underlies the critical role of sleep in learning, memory, and other cognitive functions. Introduction: Pubertal maturation is marked by significant changes in stress-induced hormonal responses mediated by the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, with prepubertal male and female rats often exhibiting greater HPA reactivity compared to adult males and females. Though the implications of these changes are unclear, elevated stress responsiveness might contribute to the stress-related vulnerabilities often associated with puberty.

Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV), being a mechanically transmitted disease, is usually difficult to control; therefore, an effective alternative to reduce transmission and replication in the crop is by spraying with chlorine dioxide (ClO) during routine crop management. In this research, the efficacy of chlorine dioxide (ClO) for ToBRFV management in a greenhouse and open field was determined.
