Objectives: To investigate the correlation between health literacy and the likelihood of death in ten years among community-dwelling older people; and identify whether health literacy exerts an influence on the likelihood of death in this population.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 200 community-dwelling older people. Data were collected on sociodemographic characteristics, health-related characteristics, health literacy and the likelihood of death in ten years.
Noncoplanar magnets are excellent candidates for spintronics. However, such materials are difficult to find, and even more so to intentionally design. Such SUEPs are predicted by hidden valley models with a new, confining force with a large 't Hooft coupling. In events with boosted topologies, selected by high-threshold hadronic triggers, the multiplicity and sphericity of clustered tracks are used to reject the background from standard model quantum chromodynamics.

Electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy studies suggest that below 50 K, the = 3/2 orbital triplet state of Co is gradually depopulated in favor of the = 1/2 spin state, which is dominant below 20 K. In light of this, the magnetic susceptibility has been fitted with a two-level model, indicating that the interactions in this material are much weaker than previously thought.

There are varying clinical presentations of progressive supranuclear palsy with different neuroimaging signatures, presumed to be due to different topographical distributions and burden of tau. The classic Richardson syndrome presentation is considered a subcortical variant, whilst progressive supranuclear palsy with predominant speech and language impairment is considered a cortical variant, although the pathological underpinnings of these variants are unclear.

The PAC scale consists of nine items, assessed using a five-point Likert scale, with higher values indicating greater positive perceptions and gains from the caregiving experience.

The layered-ruthenate family of materials possess an intricate interplay of structural, electronic and magnetic degrees of freedom that yields a plethora of delicately balanced ground states. This is exemplified by CaRuO, which hosts a coupled transition in which the lattice parameters jump, the Fermi surface partially gaps and the spins undergo a 90 in-plane reorientation. Here, we show how the transition is driven by a lattice strain that tunes the electronic bandwidth.

Magnetization and neutron diffraction data show that MnCaTaO adopts an antiferromagnetically ordered state below = 56 K and exhibits large lattice parameter anomalies and a transient increase in its polar distortion mode at = 50 K. However, in contrast to the related phase MnSrTaO, MnCaTaO shows no strong signature of weak ferromagnetism and thus shows no signs of magnetoelectric coupling.
