Metrology for 2D materials: a perspective review from the international roadmap for devices and systems.

The International Roadmap for Devices and Systems (IRDS) predicts the integration of 2D materials into high-volume manufacturing as channel materials within the next decade, primarily in ultra-scaled and low-power devices. While their widespread adoption in advanced chip manufacturing is evolving, the need for diverse characterization methods is clear. This is necessary to assess structural, electrical, compositional, and mechanical properties to control and optimize 2D materials in mass-produced devices.

Rebound Catatonia Associated With Injectable Paliperidone.

Paliperidone is an atypical antipsychotic medication commonly used to treat schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder. It is a metabolite of risperidone and has a similar mechanism of action, primarily blocking dopamine 2 receptors (D2 receptors) in the brain. Paliperidone has various adverse effects, including extrapyramidal symptoms, weight gain, and metabolic disturbances.

Extrapyramidal Symptoms in a Bipolar 1 Patient Following Re-initiation of Lithium: A Case Report.

A Chinese American female presents with extrapyramidal symptoms following re-initiation of lithium carbonate as part of her treatment plan following a recent manic episode. She developed neurological symptoms including stiffness in the upper extremities and restlessness shortly after the medication was initiated. The patient has a history of bipolar disorder for which she has been treated with lithium carbonate among other mood stabilizers, but the patient was not compliant with medications.

A moving window correlation method to reduce the distortion of scanning probe microscope images.

Many scanning probe microscopes such as the scanning tunneling microscope and atomic force microscope use piezoelectric actuators operating in open loop for generating the scans of the surfaces. However, nonlinearities mainly caused by hysteresis and drift of piezoelectric actuators reduce the positioning accuracy and produce distorted images. A moving window correlation method is proposed in this paper to determine and quantify the hysteresis.

Childhood migraine in Nigeria. II: Psychosocial aspects.

The Social class of 298 children with migraine, together with the prevalence of psychiatric morbidity among them was studied, as part of a Community-based survey of childhood migraine in Enugu. A significantly greater proportion of the children belonged to the uppermost social classes. Also, a higher incidence of neurotic disorders occurred among the migraineurs than among age and sex-matched controls.
