Setting: Multicentre observational study.
Dupuytren's contracture is a chronic condition that affects the palmar fascia, leading to progressive flexion of the fingers, particularly the ring and little fingers. This article provides an in-depth review of the current understanding of the condition and its management. Commonly seen in older men of Northern European descent, Dupuytren's can significantly impair hand function as contractures develop.

A comprehensive search of PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, SPORTDiscus, and Google Scholar focused on studies published between 2010 and 2024. Data synthesis employed both thematic analysis for qualitative data and meta-analysis for quantitative outcomes.

As global populations age, the incidence of osteoporotic fractures rises, leading to increased delayed healing and non-union cases. The pathophysiology underlying non-union in osteoporotic patients involves impaired bone regeneration, reduced osteoblast function, and poor vascularity.

This review is aimed at describing the epidemiology, determinants, and public health responses of yellow fever outbreaks in Nigeria from 1864 to 2020.
Methodology: The guidelines for the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) were used to conduct the review from November 2020 to April 2021.
To determine college students' intentions to be Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccinated. The study was comprised of college students aged 18-45 years. A survey was developed based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB).

The density of white matter increases, accompanied by the pruning back of gray matter. This critical and vulnerable period becomes especially noteworthy in the context of drug use, as adolescents are extensively exposed to substances such as tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis.

These two entities can be diagnosed from a combination of invasive and non-invasive tests as well as a thorough history and physical examination. However, invasive tests are preferred for a definitive diagnosis since the two entities have characteristic features of colonoscopy and biopsy.

This systematic review explores the application of AI and machine learning (ML) techniques in diagnosing scaphoid fractures, which account for a significant percentage of carpal bone fractures and have important implications for wrist function. Scaphoid fractures, common in young and active individuals, require an early and accurate diagnosis for effective treatment.

Cassava holds a vital position as a staple food in Nigeria, forming a significant portion of the daily diet for the population. Unfortunately, food intake can serve as a pathway for radiological contamination in humans and animals. In this study conducted in an old coal mining area in Enugu State, Nigeria, cassava samples from the area were analyzed using gamma ray spectroscopy.

Whilst it has been particularly disruptive for cancer care in low-resource settings, a few African countries have been able to adapt strategies to enable continued delivery of medical care to persons with cancer. This study seeks to highlight how much effect the coronavirus pandemic has had on oncological care in Africa and to indicate the way forward.

Different diagnostic algorithms exist for the interpretation of hs-cTn in the management of patients with suspected ACS. This study analysed the diagnostic efficacy of hs-cTn using serial and single measurements while also shedding light on the challenges associated with the use of this assay.

Oxidative stress-evoked neuroinflammation has been implicated as the key neuropathological mechanism by which haloperidol induces loss of dopaminergic neurons and motor dysfunctions. This study was therefore designed to evaluate the effect of Jobelyn® (JB), an antioxidant supplement, on haloperidol-induced motor dysfunctions and underlying molecular mechanisms in male Swiss mice.

There are reported inhibitors of the zika virus replication machinery, but no approved effective antiviral therapy including vaccines directed against the virus for treatment or prevention is currently available. The study investigated the chemoinformatic design and profiling of derivatives of dasabuvir, efavirenz, and tipranavir as potential inhibitors of the zika virus RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRP) and/or methyltransferase (MTase).
