Intracranial Arachnoid Cysts in Adulthood: A Retrospective, Multicenter Magnetic Resonance Imaging-Based Study.

Aim: To retrospectively evaluate the cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features and determine the incidence of intracranial arachnoid cysts (ACs) based on sex, age, location, size, affected side, Galassi type, and their association with hydrocephalus, mega cisterna magna (MCM), bone erosion, and midline brain shift in 15,108 patients during outpatient headache evaluations.

Material And Methods: Between 2012 and 2022, cranial MRI scans of 15,108 adult patients aged 20-70 years undergoing outpatient evaluations for headaches were retrospectively reviewed to analyze the features of ACs detected incidentally. Patients who had previously undergone a craniotomy or craniectomy were excluded from the study.

Transcallosal and endoscopic hybrid approach to a rare entity of pediatric intraventricular tumors-cribriform neuroepithelial tumor: a case report and literature review.

Purpose: Cribriform neuroepithelial tumor (CRINET) is a provisional category of intraventricular tumors, sharing similarities with AT/RTs, and there is a lack of data about its pathology, prognosis, and surgical approaches in the literature. We have been challenged to describe the surgical approach to a rare case of CRINET and describe the intraoperative features since none has been described before. Surgical resection and chemotherapy hold a great importance of favorable prognosis.

Hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach: report of five cases and review of the literature.

We report on a rare hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach producing alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in five cases. Definitive features included an aggressive, invasive, and rapidly progressing neoplasm showing areas morphologically comparable to those of hepatocellular carcinomas. Nimesulide-induced fulminant hepatitis.

An 18-year-old boy was brought to the hospital with jaundice, confusion, abdominal discomfort and distension. He had a history of oral intake of nimesulide for three days. Clinical and laboratory findings were compatible with fulminant hepatitis.

Here we describe two women with polycythemia vera presented with fulminant hepatic failure due to acute Budd-Chiari syndrome. Both had a history of severe abdominal pain and distention of short duration. Clinical and laboratory findings showed fulminant hepatic failure due to acute Budd-Chiari syndrome.

Effects of losartan, somatostatin and losartan plus somatostatin on portal hemodynamics and renal functions in cirrhosis.
