[Use of contrykal in the prevention of recurrences and metastases of cancer of the upper respiratory tract].

The analysis of data on 96 patients with cancer of the upper respiratory tract showed contrical to improve results of radiotherapy in terms of frequency of recurrence and dissemination. The regimen of administration of contrical is given.

[Use of fibrin components from autogenous blood in the surgical treatment of malignant neoformations of the larynx].

This paper describes the use of fibrin compositions derived from autogenous blood, contrykal, a fibrinolysis inhibitor, and thrombin combined with calcium chloride for fortifying sutures applied in the laryngoesophageal defect area at the final stage of laryngectomy.

[Local hyperthermia and hyperglycemia in ORL oncology].

Two-year experience of radiotherapy combined with local hyperthermia, hyperglycemia and chemotherapeutic drugs in patients with tumors of the upper respiratory tract showed advantages of this method. The results were compared with those of the control group of patients on radiotherapy only. Three therapeutic schemes were employed.

[Radiation therapy with local UHF hyperthermia in the late stages of laryngeal cancer].

Altogether 47 patients with advanced laryngeal and laryngopharyngeal tumors were treated. Twenty-six patients received multimodality therapy including local UHF-hyperthermia and gamma-beam therapy; 21 patients receiving radiotherapy only were entered in the control group. Hyperthermia was induced by the electromagnetic field with the frequency of 2450 and 915 MHz.
