A four-dimensional phase-contrast magnetic resonance imaging sequence with respiratory-controlled adaptive k-space reordering (ReCAR-4DPC) offers potential benefits of improved scan efficiency and motion robustness. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the reproducibility of flow measurement using this technique and to compare hemodynamic metrics obtained to two-dimensional phase contrast MRI (2DPC)-derived metrics of the thoracic aorta. ReCAR-4DPC was performed with identical scan parameters in 15 healthy volunteers (6M,9F, mean [range] 37 [23-47] years) and 11 patients with thoracic aortic dissection (6M,5F, 56 [31-81] years) and acquisition time was recorded.

Background: Unaddressed early-stage mental health issues, including stress, anxiety, and mild depression, can become a burden for individuals in the long term. Digital phenotyping involves capturing continuous behavioral data via digital smartphone devices to monitor human behavior and can potentially identify milder symptoms before they become serious.

Objective: This systematic literature review aimed to answer the following questions: (1) what is the evidence of the effectiveness of digital phenotyping using smartphones in identifying behavioral patterns related to stress, anxiety, and mild depression? and (2) in particular, which smartphone sensors are found to be effective, and what are the associated challenges?

Methods: We used the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) process to identify 36 papers (reporting on 40 studies) to assess the key smartphone sensors related to stress, anxiety, and mild depression.

Unlabelled: TANGO results have established the durable efficacy of dolutegravir/lamivudine in virologically suppressed individuals who switched from 3- or 4-drug tenofovir alafenamide (TAF)-based regimens. In this post hoc subgroup analysis, 144-week efficacy and tolerability of dolutegravir/lamivudine in participants who switched from elvitegravir/cobicistat/emtricitabine/TAF were consistent with the overall switch population.

p97 is a ubiquitin-targeted ATP-dependent segregase that regulates proteostasis, in addition to a variety of other cellular functions. Previously, we demonstrated that p97 negatively regulates NRF2 by extracting ubiquitylated NRF2 from the KEAP1-CUL3-RBX1 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, facilitating proteasomal destruction. In the current study, we identified p97 as an NRF2-target gene that contains a functional ARE, indicating the presence of an NRF2-p97-NRF2 negative feedback loop that maintains redox homeostasis.

Background: Blood platelets have evolved a complex mechanotransduction machinery to rapidly respond to hemodynamic conditions. A variety of microfluidic flow-based approaches have been developed to explore platelet mechanotransduction; however, these experimental models primarily focus on the effects of increased wall shear stress on platelet adhesion events and do not consider the critical effects of extensional strain on platelet activation in free flow.

Glycoconjugation strategies in anticancer drug discovery exploit the high expression of glucose transporters in malignant cells to achieve preferential uptake and hence attractive pharmacological characteristics of increased therapeutic windows and decreased unwanted toxicity. Here we present the design of glycoconjugated prochelators of aroylhydrazone AH1, an antiproliferative scavenger that targets the increased iron demand of rapidly proliferating malignant cells. The constructs feature a monosaccharide (d-glucose, d-glucosamine, or glycolytic inhibitor 2-deoxy-d-glucose) connected at the C2 or C6 position via a short linker, which masks the chelator through a disulfide bond susceptible to intracellular reduction.
