Breast cancer cells produce exosomes that promote tumorigenesis. The anticancer properties of gallic acid have been reported. However, the mechanism underlying its anticancer effect on the exosomal secretory pathway is still unclear.

Background: The low breast cancer survival rates in less developed countries are critical. The machine learning techniques predict cancers survival with high accuracy. Missing data are the most important limitation for using the highest potential of these techniques to predict cancers survival.

Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is one of the main causes of mortality in patients with cancer. This study was conducted to assess the incidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in breast cancer patients receiving outpatient cancer therapy.

Materials And Methods: This multi-center prospective cohort study was conducted on patients with breast cancer, initiating an outpatient chemotherapy regimen in five medical centers in Iran.

Anti-proliferative, anti-metastatic and anti-angiogenic effects of 17‑allylamino‑17‑demethoxy geldanamycin (17-AAG) were studied alone and in combination with Capecitabine (Cap) and/or Irinotecan (IR) on HT-29 human colorectal carcinoma cells. Expression of MMP-9 (matrix metalloproteinase‑9) and VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) mRNA was analyzed by real-time PCR method. The study was further followed by wound scratch assay for migration assessment.

Background: Breast cancer survival has been analyzed by many standard data mining algorithms. A group of these algorithms belonged to the decision tree category. Ability of the decision tree algorithms in terms of visualizing and formulating of hidden patterns among study variables were main reasons to apply an algorithm from the decision tree category in the current study that has not studied already.

Background: The impact of intravenous (IV) contrast media (CM) on radiation dose calculations must be taken into account in treatment planning.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of an intravenous contrast media on dose calculations in three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT) for lower esophageal and rectal cancers.

Materials And Methods: Seventeen patients with lower esophageal tumors and 12 patients with rectal cancers were analyzed.

Choriocarcinoma is an extremely rare pathology among breast malignancies. It is introduced by two distinct terms in the literatures: breast cancer with choriocarcinomatous features and metastatic choriocarcinoma to the breast. In this case report, the history, physical examination, laboratory findings, imaging studies, and pathological findings of breast choriocarcinoma in a 41-year-old woman are described and previous literatures about choriocarcinoma in the breast are reviewed.
