Article Synopsis
  • The paper focuses on manipulating a deformable linear object, particularly in agricultural applications for plant grasping, but also discusses potential uses in daily activities and industrial settings.
  • A model-free control method is proposed, allowing a robotic arm to manipulate an elastic object without needing prior knowledge of its deformation parameters.
  • An adaptive control strategy is designed for regulating the object's shape and trajectory, ensuring stable and smooth deformation, with validation through numerical simulations and real experiments.

A new robust adaptive controller is developed for the control of the hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection inside the body. The non-linear HBV model has three state variables: uninfected cells, infected cells and free viruses. A control law is designed for the antiviral therapy such that the volume of infected cells and the volume of free viruses are decreased to their desired values which are zero.
