Introduction: In breast surgeries, prophylactic antibiotics given before the surgical incision as per Joint Commission Surgical Care Improvement Project guidelines have been shown to decrease the rate of postoperative infections. Efferent loop syndrome has been rarely reported after pancreatoduodenectomy.
