Article Synopsis
  • Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is a common complication of diabetes, and this study aimed to evaluate the impact of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO2) therapy on kidney function in diabetic patients.
  • In the study, patients with stage 3 and 4 DKD received either HBO2 or ambient air, with significant improvements noted in the experimental group, including reduced urinary albumin excretion and increased glomerular filtration rate (GFR).
  • The results indicated that HBO2 therapy was effective in lowering urinary albumin levels and enhancing kidney function compared to the control group, suggesting it could be a beneficial treatment for patients with advanced DKD.
