This extract of AFL contained approximately 169 mg gallic acid/g as assessed by HPLC. The AFL extract had marginal antitumor activity (IC > 200 µL/mL) but showed a concentration-dependent hepatoprotective effect against CCl -induced hepatotoxicity in vitro.
