Objectives: Long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) provides continuous pregnancy prevention to women for a period of 3 to 12 years, and it is very safe and effective. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence, determinants and willingness to use LARC among undergraduate female students attending public and private universities in Ekiti State, Southwest Nigeria DESIGN: This survey employed a cross-sectional comparative study design.
Setting: Public and private universities in Ekiti State, Southwest Nigeria.
Background: Perinatal asphyxia is a leading cause of under-5 mortality and exerts great pressure on the health system. Adequate foetal monitoring in labour is paramount in the early detection of foetal distress to prevent perinatal asphyxia. Several methods of foetal monitoring are in use with varying efficacy.

Background: Much previous research on exclusive breastfeeding has focused on urban and semi-urban communities, while there is still a paucity of data from rural areas. We assessed the attitude and practice of exclusive breastfeeding and its predictors among mothers attending the under-five welfare clinics in a rural community.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among consecutively recruited 217 mothers attending the three health facilities under-five welfare clinics in Ido-Ekiti, Southwest, Nigeria.
