Prosthodontic Attitudes and Practices among Dentists during the First Wave of COVID-19 Era.

Context: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a highly infectious disease that poses a threat in dental practice especially in prosthetic clinics due to the peculiar nature of prosthodontic procedures.

Aims: The aim of this study was to determine the attitude and practices in prosthodontics during COVID-19 period.

Settings And Design: An online cross-sectional survey was done among dentists practicing prosthodontics across Nigeria.

Purpose: To determine the prevalence and pattern of dental caries among public primary school children in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional survey of pupils in randomly selected public primary schools in Lagos State Nigeria was conducted. Dental examinations were carried out on 2835 children and caries diagnosis was based on the WHO diagnostic criteria (1999).

A survey of the oral health knowledge and practices of pregnant women in a Nigerian teaching hospital.

To describe the self-reported oral health knowledge, attitudes and oral hygiene habits, among pregnant women receiving antenatal care at the Lagos State University teaching Hospital (LASUTH). A cross-sectional questionnaire-based survey was conducted at the LASUTH antenatal clinic during the period January - June 2008. Most of the respondents demonstrated a reasonable level of oral health knowledge and positive attitudes towards oral health.
