Introduction: Plasma concentrations of gut microbial metabolites are associated with cardiomyocyte viability and platelet reactivity. We hypothesized that increased concentrations of gut metabolites may predict major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) after acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
