Ventricular Fibrillation Cardiac Arrest With Endocarditis During Pregnancy.

A 34-year-old pregnant woman collapsed at home without preceding symptoms. Following bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation, ventricular fibrillation was documented and successfully reverted with an external shock. The electrocardiogram showed sinus rhythm, right bundle branch block, ST-segment depression, and T-wave inversion in anterior leads.

Aim Of The Study: Congenital pulmonary airway malformation (CPAM) has an estimated prevalence in Europe of 1.06/10,000 live births with most being detected using maternal ultrasound screening. Malignant transformation is a possible complication though its prevalence is unknown and previous reports have usually been in older children.

Aims: As immunomodulatory therapy is being integrated into treatment regimens for non-small-cell lung carcinoma, we aimed to prospectively collect data on the immunohistochemical profile of tumours assessed in our institution and to correlate this with morphological tumour features.

Methods And Results: Immunohistochemistry for programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) was considered to be adequate when >100 tumour cells were seen microscopically. When adequate, PD-L1 staining was scored as <1%, ≥1-49% or ≥50% positive membrane staining within tumour cells only.

An Atlas of Human Regulatory T Helper-like Cells Reveals Features of Th2-like Tregs that Support a Tumorigenic Environment.

Regulatory T cells (Tregs) play a pivotal role in maintaining immunological tolerance, but they can also play a detrimental role by preventing antitumor responses. Here, we characterized T helper (Th)-like Treg subsets to further delineate their biological function and tissue distribution, focusing on their possible contribution to disease states. RNA sequencing and functional assays revealed that Th2-like Tregs displayed higher viability and autocrine interleukin-2 (IL-2)-mediated activation than other subsets.
