[Subjective memory complaints, perceived stress and coping strategies in young adults].

Introduction: Subjective memory complaints are becoming more and more frequent among young adults. There are currently no studies in the literature that analyse the relation among memory complaints, perceived stress and coping strategies as a whole in young adults.

Aim: To determine the contribution made by perceived stress and different coping strategies on subjective memory complaints in healthy young adults.

INTRODUCTION. Many young people today display memory complaints that are not linked to their real cognitive performance. A number of studies have sought to identify the factors involved in this problem, such as anxious-depressive symptoms, the variables of anxiety traditionally being measured as somatic or cognitive manifestations with an activation that is unspecific or not linked to any particular stimulus.

Accidental head trauma during care activities in the first year of life: a neurosurgical comparative study.

Objectives: This study aims to describe clinical-epidemiological data regarding accidental fall injuries occurring during homecare activities among children up to 1 year of age and to compare their outcomes according to the type of trauma.

Objective: To report preliminary experience in using Microporous Polysaccharide Hemospheres (MPH; Medafor, Inc, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA) for cerebral and dural sinus hemostasis.

Methods: Absorbable hemospheres for hemostasis were used in 10 patients (6 men, 4 women, mean age 56.2 years) undergoing cerebral procedures.
