[Improvement process of community podiatric care service for people with diabetes mellitus in Catalonia].

In 2009, the Catalan Health Service (Servei Català de la Salut) introduced community podiatric care for people with diabetes mellitus and chronic vascular or neuropathic conditions as part of its service portfolio. After 10 years, an evaluation, review, and improvement of the service was promoted, carrying out various actions between 2018 and 2024. The improvement process was carried out collaboratively and participatively, involving multiple stakeholders.

A quality improvement plan for hypertension control: the INCOTECA Project (INterventions for COntrol of hyperTEnsion in CAtalonia).

Background: Different studies have shown insufficient blood pressure (BP) control in hypertensive patients. Multiple factors influence hypertension management, and the quality of primary care is one of them. We decided therefore to evaluate the effectiveness of a quality improvement plan directed at professionals of Primary Health Care Teams (PHCT) with the aim to achieve a better control of hypertension.
