Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to investigate the hormonal profiles of women experiencing abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) alongside other extragenital disorders, comparing them to healthy counterparts.
  • Among the 100 women studied, significant hormonal variations were noted, including lower levels of FSH and LH in those with specific uterine pathologies, while estradiol levels were found to be elevated in a majority of affected women.
  • Additionally, there was a notable increase in leptin levels among the patients, a correlation with BMI and estradiol, and a high prevalence of vitamin D deficiency, suggesting complex hormonal interactions in women with AUB and related conditions.
