Infantile fibrosarcoma (IF) is a rare malignant fibroblastic tumor that affects infants and young children, occurring most commonly in the extremities. Here, we present a 14-year-old patient with an abdominal mass incidentally detected after a blunt injury to the abdomen. The initial trauma protocol CT revealed a high attenuation mesenteric lesion in the left central abdomen suggestive of mesenteric hematoma.

We propose an automated convolutional neural network (CNN) approach using Dixon-based magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to quantity abdominal subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) and visceral adipose tissue (VAT) in children and adolescents.
Methods: 474 abdominal Dixon MRI scans of 136 young healthy volunteers (aged 8-18) were included in this study.

An unusual type of neurofibroma predominantly seen in children and young adults is diffuse neurofibroma. We present a 25-year-old female with recurring soft tissue masses in her right lower limb. MRI showed areas of iso-intensity and hyperintensity relative to skeletal muscle within the subcutaneous fat.
