Special structures and prominent performance make 2D iodinene more appealing and valuable at the molecular level. Here, new-type electronic devices have been constructed with iodinene-based nanoflakes in different sizes and are theoretically studied for electronic transport properties. Our findings reveal that iodinene-based nanoflakes possess great electron transport suppression, achieving the same function as SiO on single molecule scale.

This new -type molecular chain presented an exponential attenuation of the conductance and electron transmission with the length. Essentially, the molecular chain retained the electron-resonant tunneling within 7 nm and the dominant transport orbital was the LUMO.

Here, electronic transport properties of such 2D iodine structures are theoretically studied by considering the influence of the metal-element doping. In equilibrium, metal elements in Group 1 can enhance the conductance dramatically and show a better enhancement effect.

In some cases, this stiffness mismatch leads to a stress-shielding effect and eventual loosing of the implant. Porous metallic materials are suitable candidates to overcome this problem.

Based on an SEM microstructural analysis, it was found that the cross-sections of all the obtained specimens were characterized by an average coating thickness of 400 ± 20 μm, a sufficiently narrow (100 ± 20 μm) "coating-substrate" transition zone, and the presence of a small number of defects, including cracks and pores.

The circular motion of the interference pattern occurs due to the exchange of angular momenta between photons and the interferometer. Using the concept of the ideal phase-conjugating mirror, it is shown that the motion of the helical interference pattern of interacting vortex photons with topological charge may be used for detection of slow rotations.

Here, the surface of the commercial biomedical Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy was functionalized through synthesizing of a porous surface layer by liquid metal dealloying (LMD). During LMD, the Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy is immersed in liquid magnesium (Mg) and both materials react with each other.

After controlling for the underlying condition, the one-stage feminization was performed, including modified tightening introitoplasty using a Passerini-Glazel flap and a correction of hypertrophic clitoris and labia minora. Good short- and long-term results were achieved.

TM is particularly interesting as an informative marker of testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs). KIT ligand gene (KITLG), BCL2 antagonist/killer 1 (BAK1), and sprouty RTK signaling antagonist 4 (SPRY4) genes are associated with a high risk of TGCTs, whereas bone morphogenetic protein 7 gene (BMP7), transforming growth factor beta receptor 3 gene (TGFBR3), and homeobox D cluster genes (HOXD) are related to TDS.

The close match of stiffness between implant material and bone is critically important to avoid stress-shielding effect and ensure a fast healing of injured tissues. Here, we introduce liquid metal dealloying method for synthesis of robust open porous biomaterials possessing low Young's modulus. The remarkable advantage of the liquid metal dealloying method is a large flexibility in selecting chemical composition of a desired porous biomaterial together with unique tunable microstructure.

The preference is given to the most suitable configuration for a coherent coupling of thousands of fundamental spatial mode fiber beams into a single smooth beam ready for chirped pulse compression. It is shown that a Michelson phase-conjugating configuration with double passage through an array of fiber amplifiers has the definite advantage compared to a one-way fiber array coupled in a Mach-Zehnder configuration.

Ultrasonic examinations of the kidneys, adrenals, pelvic organs (with full bladder, during and after miction), scrotum, and inguinal area were carried out. Echographic picture of urogenital organs in mixed ovarian dysgenesis, congenital deficiency of testosterone biosynthesis or metabolism due to enzymatic deficit, testicular feminization, congenital adrenocortical dysfunction was analyzed and criteria of differential diagnosis of these conditions discussed.

The effect of surgical intervention was shown to depend upon the quality of ligation of the testicular vein, some parts of which are anastomosed between themselves. The localization of this anastomosis is revealed by means of intraoperative phlebotesticulography, which permits increasing the results of surgical treatment and predicting a course of a postoperative period.
