Article Synopsis
  • The text presents a new classification technique using deep feature-based sparse approximation to differentiate between benign and malignant breast masses in mammographs, aiming to improve breast cancer diagnosis and reduce mortality rates.
  • The method involves creating dictionaries from deep features and utilizing sparse approximations specifically on Regions of Interest (ROIs) in the images, indicating that this approach might address under-studied areas in automated breast cancer diagnosis.
  • Results show that the proposed technique, termed DF-SLESA, outperforms traditional unsupervised learning methods and achieves competitive accuracy in classifying breast masses, validated through experiments on established datasets.

Owing to the devise applications of molecules in industries, the bound state solution of the non-relativistic wave equation with a molecular potential function has been obtained in a closed-form using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The solutions of the bound state are then applied to study the information-theoretic measures such as the one-dimensional Shannon and Renyi entropic densities. The expectation values for the position and momentum spaces were obtained to verify the Heisenberg's uncertainty principle.

Thermomagnetic properties, and its effects on Fisher information entropy with Schioberg plus Manning-Rosen potential are studied using NUFA and SUSYQM methods in the presence of the Greene-Aldrich approximation scheme to the centrifugal term. The wave function obtained was used to study Fisher information both in position and momentum spaces for different quantum states by the gamma function and digamma polynomials. The energy equation obtained in a closed form was used to deduce numerical energy spectra, partition function, and other thermomagnetic properties.

The effects of the curvature parameters on the energy eigenvalues and thermodynamic properties of quantum pseudoharmonic oscillator are investigated within the framework of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics. By employing Nikiforov-Uvarov method, the energy spectra are obtained and used to study the ordinary statistics and q-deformed superstatistics as a function of temperature in the presence and absence of the curvature parameters. It is shown that the q-deformed supertatistics properties of the quantum pseudoharmonic oscillator reduce to the ordinary statistical properties in the absence of the deformation parameter.

Objective: We describe experience treating a patient with atrioventricular (AV) discordance with ventriculoarterial (VA) concordance, ventricular septal defect (VSD), and situs inversus. This is a rare congenital lesion in which closing the VSD would septate D-transposition physiology and performing an arterial switch and VSD closure would produce congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries physiology. As such, it is the only lesion for which an isolated atrial switch (and VSD closure) remains the preferred correction.
