Soil erosion is an important global phenomenon that can cause many impacts, like morphometry and hydrology alteration, land degradation and landslides. Moreover, soil loss has a significant effect on agricultural production by removing the most valuable and productive top soil's profile, leading to a reduction in yields, which requires a high production budget. The detrimental impact of soil erosion has reached alarming levels due to the exacerbation of global warming and drought, particularly in the arid climates prevalent in Tunisia and Algeria and other regions of North Africa.
