For applications such as sequencing, transfection, and in vitro transcription, PCR products have to be subcloned into plasmids. Many strategies are used for cloning, blunt-end ligation or the incorporation of restriction endonuclease sites into PCR primers for appropriate vectors. However, the most convenient and direct method is T/A cloning.

A multicenter, case control study of risk factors for low tibial speed of sound among residents of urban areas in Turkey.

Risk factors which have been associated with low bone mass are multifactorial and represent regional differences between and within countries. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the possible risk factors of low tibial speed of sound (tSOS), which determines cortical bone status among residents of urban regions in Ankara, Izmir, and Istanbul, in Turkey, and also to compare groups of different socioeconomic status (SES). A total of 1,026 subjects (63% women and 53% of low socioeconomic status) 40-70 years old were included in the study.

Effect of brewery sludge amendments on some chemical properties of acid soil in pot experiments.

A cDNA library was constructed using mRNA prepared from leaves of watermelon [Citrullus lanatus (Thunb.) Matsum&Nakai] at the vegetative stage. Randomly selected cDNA clones were sequenced in order to identify potentially informative genes.

Characterization of the full-length sequences of phospholipase A2 induced during flower development.

The suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) method was used to isolate developmentally regulated genes during carnation flower maturation. Carnation flower maturation-related clones obtained by the SSH were serially assigned as CFMI (carnation flower maturation-induced) clones. Northern blot analysis showed that several CFMI clones were differentially expressed during flower development.

Discrepancy of recovery times related to potency between atracurium and mivacurium simultaneously administered in isolated forearms.

Recovery from potent non-depolarising muscle relaxants is slower than from the less potent agents. However, recovery from mivacurium, which is more potent than atracurium, is faster than from atracurium following systemic administration.
