Cross section measurements of Eu(He,5n) reaction: new opportunities for medical alpha emitter Tb production.

Method for production of alpha emitter Tb by irradiation of Eu with 70 MeV He nuclei is proposed. For the first time, the cross sections for the formation of isotopes Tb were measured experimentally using a stack foil technique in the He particles energy range 70 → 12 MeV. The thick target yield of Tb is 39 MBq/μAh, or 230 MBq/μA Tb at saturation.

PERORAL ENDOSCOPIC MYOTOMY IN ESOPHAGEAL ACHALASIA: INTRAOPERATIVE COMPLICATIONS AND METHODS OF THEIR CORRECTION.

The authors analyzed complications in peroral endoscopic myotomy in case of esophageal achalasia in 27 patients. There were noted hypercapnia, carboxyperitoneum, hemorrhage, perforation of mucous coat of esophagus. These complications were suppressed during endoscopic manipulations.

[Peptic stenosing esophagitis].

The authors have performed examination and treatment of 55 patients with peptic stricture of the esophagus. The algorithm of examination (X-ray method, endoscopic method, express pH-metry of the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract, USI of the abdominal cavity organs) allowed characterization of the stricture, detection of the disease which resulted in its development. The treatment included endoscopic methods (bougienage, balloon dilatation) for restoration of patency of the esophagus, pharmacotherapy directed to suppression of gastric secretion and improving the motor function of the gastrointestinal tract.

Experimental evidence for the existence of 7H and for a specific structure of 8He.

Experimental search for the superheavy 7H isotope was performed in the reaction p(8He,pp)7H with the 8He beam at 61.3A MeV. The evidence for existence of the 7H state near the t+4n threshold was obtained.

Superheavy hydrogen (5)H.

Experimental search for (5)H using a secondary beam of (6)He has been performed. The transfer reaction (1)H((6)He,(2)He)(5)H was studied by detecting two protons emitted from the decay of (2)He. A peak consistent with a (5)H resonance at 1.

[Gas-chromatographic analysis of the fungicide azocene in environmental objects and biological specimens].

Sensitive gas chromatography methods have been worked out for evaluation of azocene trace quantities in the air of working and populated area, water, soil, plants and biological material. Chromatographer with thermoionic detector was employed. The lower detection threshold is 2 ng of azocene.
