Introduction: Anatomical tendon-to-bone repair of retracted rotator cuff tear is a difficult challenge given the high rate of recurrence.

Hypothesis: The study hypothesis was that side-to-side repair of U-shaped retracted tear allows tendon healing with satisfactory medium-term clinical results.

Materials And Methods: Between 1999 and 2007, 35 patients (mean age 53.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical and operative characteristics of cyclops lesion in a consecutive series of patients with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) double-bundle reconstruction.

Methods: Included were 387 patients who underwent an ACL double-bundle reconstruction with quadriceps or hamstring tendons and were followed up at 6 weeks and 3, 6, and 12 months for clinical examination. When a persistent extension deficit was observed 3 months postoperatively, magnetic resonance imaging was performed to eventually diagnose a cyclops syndrome, and arthroscopic removal of the nodule was performed in these cases.

Background: Impaired postoperative range of motion remains one of the most frequent complications after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.

Purpose: This study was undertaken to determine the preoperative factors associated with prolonged range of motion deficit after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.

Study Design: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3.

The purpose of this study was to describe an original technique of reconstruction of the anteromedial bundle preserving the posterolateral bundle and to report the results of a consecutive 36 patients series with mean 24 months follow-up. Our hypothesis is that this selective reconstruction of ACL partial tears could restore knee stability and function. In a consecutive series of 256, ACL reconstructions, 36 patients in which intact ACL fibers remained in the location corresponding to the posterolateral bundle were perioperatively diagnosed.

Tubercle bacilli may survive in unstained heat-fixed sputum smears and may be an infection risk to laboratory staff. We compared the effectiveness of 1% and 5% sodium hypochlorite, 5% phenol, 2% glutaraldehyde, and 3.7% formalin in killing Mycobacterium tuberculosis present in smears prepared from 51 sputum samples.
