We report a case of a moderately disseminated, slowly progressing Kaposi's sarcoma, with a primary cutaneous nodule on the glans penis. The multifocal skin tumor appeared in a 44-year-old bisexual man and was not associated with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.

Histological examination of a skin biopsy from a 30-year-old male patient which had been performed because of a naevus-like lentigo revealed the presence of a mite within the upper part of the corium. To our knowledge, this may be the first description of such a finding. This mite was identified as a subspecies of Tarsonemus hominis Dahl.

A 65-year-old woman developed a prominent tumor-like swelling of the skin in the face and shoulder area after having received parenteral applications of a drug containing polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) (Depot-Impletol) for many years. Upon first examination the alterations appeared to represent a tumor of the adipose tissue. Subsequently, however, they were shown to result from excessive storage of high-molecular fractions of PVP in the reticulohistiocytic system.

A keratoacanthoma developed on a nevus sebaceus on the cheek of a 7 years old girl within three weeks. The nevus revealed additional organoid and suborganoid hamartomas. The occurrence of keroacanthoma or even squamous cell epithelioma is a very rare event in nevus sebaceus.

Detailed allergologic investigations, allergy histories and skin tests in 80 patients with perioral dermatitis led to the conclusion that the disease has to be considered a manifestation of atopy. Thus another clinical entity would have to be added to the hitherto known manifestations of the atopic constitution. The findings reported by other investigators may thus be interpreted as conditional or aggravating pathogenetic factors.
