This study introduces an innovative in situ lander/impact-penetrator design tailored for Discovery-class missions to Europa, specifically focused on conducting astrobiological analyses. The platform integrates a microfluidic capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detector (C4D), optimized for the detection of low-concentration salts potentially indicative of biological activity. Our microfluidic system allows for automated sample routing and precise conductivity-based detection, making it suitable for the harsh environmental and logistical demands of Europa's icy surface.

Introduction: The Medication Home Delivery (MHD) service from community pharmacies involves the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceuticals (prescription and non-prescription medications), and health products directly to the patient's/consumer's home. There are several issues encountered by the users of the MHD service that have an impact on their satisfaction with the service. The study aimed to assess the public's perceptions of the MHD service in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), their willingness to utilize it, and the practical use of the service.

Therefore, students may engage in activities that might alleviate anxiety symptoms, including taking medication. The study aimed to identify factors affecting test anxiety among medical and non-medical students during examination period and their coping approaches.

Using metabolomics and in vivo experiments with both constitutive and oligodendrocyte-selective carns1-KO mouse models, we found that HDs are critical for oligodendrocyte survival and protect against oxidative stress. Carns1-KO mouse models had lower numbers of mature oligodendrocytes, increased lipid peroxidation, and behavioral changes.

Methods: The study recruited adult patients with OA attending the rheumatology/orthopedics clinics in a local urban hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Participants completed a questionnaire regarding who influences their decision in selecting OA medication, followed by an ACBC questionnaire about OA medication preferences and a questionnaire about the potential contribution of ACBC to the SDM process.

Objectives: To examine the relation between maternal pre-delivery BMI and the accuracy of sonographic estimated fetal weight (EFW) in very preterm infants (<32 weeks gestation).
Methods: This retrospective study included singleton infants born between January 2010 and March 2023, at gestational ages 23 to 31 weeks, at a tertiary university-affiliated hospital. Absolute weight, percentage error, absolute percentage error, and overestimation and underestimation of EFW were compared between women with pre-delivery normal weight (BMI 18.
Introduction: Limited evidence exists on borderline oligohydramnios. Our objective was to determine perinatal outcomes in uncomplicated term pregnancies with borderline oligohydramnios.
Methods: This retrospective analysis compared adverse perinatal outcomes among pregnancies during 2018-2022, between those with borderline oligohydramnios defined as amniotic fluid index (AFI) of 5.
TAF8 is part of the transcription factor TFIID complex. TFIID is crucial for recruiting the transcription factor complex containing RNA polymerase II. TAF8 deficiency was recently reported as causing a severe neurodevelopmental disorder in eight patients.

Integrated photonic quantum technologies in silicon offer a promising path to scaling by leveraging advanced semiconductor manufacturing and integration capabilities. However, the lack of deterministic quantum light sources and strong photon-photon interactions in silicon poses a challenge to scalability.

This study aimed to evaluate the utility of post-delivery ultrasound in patients with risk factors for RPOC.
Study Design: A retrospective cohort-study was conducted in a single tertiary university-affiliated hospital (January 2016-September 2022).
Polymicrobial endocarditis is uncommon, and polymicrobial endocarditis in combination with is very rare. We herein describe an extremely rare case of polymicrobial bivalvular endocarditis due to coinfection with and in a 62-year-old male patient, and extensively review the relevant medical literature. To the best of our knowledge, only three similar cases have been previously reported.

Methods: This retrospective study included women aged 17-50 years who underwent hysteroscopy for suspected RPOC during 2018-2021. Clinical and sonographic data were analyzed, and multivariable linear regression models employed, to examine correlations between RPOC and sonographic findings, and to compare diagnostic accuracy between symptomatic and asymptomatic women.
Objectives: Heterotopic pregnancy of an intrauterine pregnancy and an interstitial or stump pregnancy after bilateral salpingectomy is a rare complication of in vitro fertilization (IVF) that can lead to severe hemorrhage; prompt identification and management are important. The aim of this paper was to present a case report and an updated literature review of women who had had combined interstitial/stump and intrauterine pregnancies during an in an IVF cycle after total bilateral salpingectomy.
Material And Methods: We conducted a search in PubMed for reported heterotopic pregnancy, of a combined intrauterine pregnancy with an interstitial or stump pregnancy, in women who underwent IVF after bilateral salpingectomy.

Background: Blood banks are an important part of healthcare systems. They embrace critical processes that start with donor recruitment and blood collection, followed by blood processing to produce different types of blood components used in transfusions, blood storage, blood distribution, and transfusion. Blood components must be generated at high quality, preserved safely, and transfused in a timely manner.

SLC1A4 catalyses obligatory amino acid exchange between neutral amino acids, but the physiopathology of SLC1A4 disease mutations and progressive microcephaly remain unclear. Here, we examined the phenotype and metabolic profile of three Slc1a4 mouse models: a constitutive Slc1a4-knockout mouse; a knock-in mouse with the major human Slc1a4 mutation (Slc1a4-K256E); and a selective knockout of Slc1a4 in brain endothelial cells (Slc1a4tie2-cre).
