[Cardiovascular risk factors associated to abdominal obesity in apparently healthy subjects].

Objective: to determine the relationship between the abdominal obesity and cardiovascular risk factors in apparently healthy subjects from Mexico City.

Methods: a total of 186 apparently healthy men and nonpregnant women from Mexico City, were enrolled in a cross-sectional study. A detailed medical history and physical examination were performed.

Background: Vulvovaginitis caused by Candida sp is one of the most frequent infections.

Objectives: To culture and to identify the fungi related to clinical manifestations of patients based on a suspected diagnosis of vulvovaginal candidiasis.

Patients And Methods: A prospective, transversal and comparative study was performed on 181 women older than 18 years with vulvovaginitis by Candida sp.

[Risk factors for cervical cancer].

The research obtained and analyzed facts related to social and cultural issues, as well as the obstetrics and gynecologist background, stating for each one of them, the relative risk and its statistical meaning with a trust degree of 95%. All of these aspects are considered critical causes for the development of cervix and uterine cancer.
