Are boarding secondary schools suitable for students with asthma? An asynchronous online focus group discussion among members of an asthma awareness group.

Introduction: Children in boarding schools spend most of their time without their parents or caregivers, causing concerns about the suitability of such schools for children with asthma. This study assessed individuals' opinions regarding the suitability of boarding secondary schools for children with asthma.

Methods: A qualitative design was adopted for this study using a focus group discussion held on a social media platform (WhatsApp®) of the Asthma Awareness and Care Group (AACG), The group comprised 150 registered members.

Imperatives of Mathematical Model of Arterial Blood Dynamics for Interpretation of Doppler Velocimetry: A Narrative Review.

Clinicians frequently study arterial Doppler velocimetric waveforms depicted by Doppler sonography of the kidneys, the heart, the brain, and the feto-maternal circulation to assess the well-being of the aforementioned vital organs. The waveform interpretation of the Doppler indices can be studied using a mathematical model. The developed models serve as teaching tools and for easy comprehension of the regulatory mechanism of the organs.

Sonographic evaluation of the portal vein diameter in patients with chronic liver disease in northeastern Nigeria.

Introduction: Chronic liver disease is a public health burden worldwide. Portal hypertension is a major portosystemic abnormality in chronic liver disease. This study aimed to determine the main, right, and the left portal vein diameter in patients with chronic liver disease.

Achieving universal access to obstetric ultrasound in resource constrained settings: A narrative review.

Objectives: The potential benefits and challenges of achieving universal access to obstetric ultrasound services in resource constrained settings were reviewed, with a view to making some recommendations to address the huge burden of avoidable maternal and child morbidity and mortality.

Key Findings: In most resource-poor settings of the world, antenatal ultrasound is available only to a privileged few in urban centres, while the majority of the population living in rural areas have little or no access to diagnostic imaging services. There is also the extreme shortage of sonographers and doctors with specialist training in sonography.

This study investigated the incidence of occupational stress among radiographers in southeastern Nigeria.
