Background And Aims: Since salinity stress may occur across stages of rice (Oryza sativa L.) crop growth, understanding the effects of salinity at reproductive stage is important although it has been much less studied than at seedling stage.
Methods: In this study, lines from the Rice Diversity Panel 1 (RDP1) and the 3000 Rice Genomes (3KRG) were used to screen morphological and physiological traits, map loci controlling salinity tolerance through genome-wide association studies (GWAS), and identify favorable haplotypes associated with reproductive stage salinity tolerance.
A pair of cyclophane-encapsulated [Cu(μ-E)] complexes (E = S and Se) were characterized by resonant X-ray diffraction anomalous fine structure (DAFS), revealing unexpected polarization among the three Cu sites attributed to long-range effects of π-stacking interactions with cocrystallized benzene molecules. The resonant K-edge energies of individual Cu sites within the cluster molecules were found to vary as a function of distance from the cocrystallized benzene. This pattern was interpreted in the context of T-shaped, edge-to-face π-stacking with the assistance of theoretical charge density difference calculations.

Objective: Validations of brief delirium tools have not included analysis of psychiatric disorders comorbidities or control groups. We validated the Delirium Diagnostic Tool-Provisional (DDT-Pro) in 422 geriatric inpatients with high incidence of depression and/or dementia.
Methods: Cross-sectional study using two delirium reference standards, DSM-5-TR and Delirium Rating Scale-Revised-98 (DRS-R98).

Previous studies suggest that dietary evolution can influence the rates and patterns of species diversification, with omnivorous (animal and plant, 'generalist') diets slowing down diversification compared to more restricted ('specialist') herbivorous and carnivorous diets. This hypothesis, here termed the "dietary macroevolutionary sink" hypothesis (DMS), predicts that transitions to omnivorous diets occur at higher rates than into any specialist diet, and omnivores are expected to have the lowest diversification rates, causing an evolutionary sink into a single type of diet.
