Background And Objectives: Health insurance relieves problems with out-of-pocket payments. It is uncertain whether equal care is received by insured and uninsured patients. We compared objective and perceived healthcare quality between insured and uninsured adults at the study site to make appropriate recommendations that would improve healthcare quality.

Background: Clefts are common birth defects, usually accompanied by various malformations that include malocclusions, and may be associated with tooth decay. The aim of this study was to assess the malocclusion and caries status of the patients with unrepaired clefts who presented at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu.
Subjects And Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive study was conducted among patients with unrepaired cleft lip and/or palate that presented at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu between January 2009 and December 2011.
Background: Excessive ingestion of fluoride during tooth development, particularly at the maturation stage, may result in dental fluorosis, with clinical implications. Literature is scarce on dental fluorosis in Enugu, Nigeria.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of dental fluorosis in Enugu, a major city in South East Nigeria.
Our aim was to summarise the clinical characteristics and presentation of ameloblastomas in eastern Nigeria. We organised a retrospective study of 240 patients who presented with ameloblastomas to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery units of five specialist hospitals in the eastern states of Nigeria over an eight-year period (2004-2011). We analysed the casenotes, and categorised the cases by site of tumour, age, sex, and time of presentation.

Background: Dental caries is the most prevalent oral disease of childhood; however, not much attention has been given to studies on this among the rural Nigerian children.
Objectives: The aim of this study is to assess the prevalence and risk factors associated with dental caries in secondary school children residing in the rural communities of Awgu North Local Government Area, Enugu.
Methods: Stratified random sampling technique was used to select 301 students who were 1 1-16years of age.
Context: The practice of female genital mutilation (FGM) has continued because it is deeply entrenched in tradition and culture especially in developing countries where the victims are often its strongest proponents. This study aimed at using accurate information to dispel the traditional myths and beliefs about FGM among woman.
Methods: Using a before and after intervention evaluation research design, interviewer administered questionnaires were administered to a sample of 100 women drawn by systematic sampling from the General Outpatient Department of University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital.
