The integration of virtual, mixed, and augmented reality technologies in cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology represents a transformative frontier. In this Commentary, we conducted a meta-analysis of studies that explored the impact of Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Augmented Reality (AR) on cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology. Our review highlights the versatile applications of VR, ranging from spatial cognition assessments to rehabilitation for Traumatic Brain Injury.
