The importance of eyebrows in facial aesthetics has long been recognized, and eyebrows restoration is carried out by carefully depositing pigments into the epidermis. This cosmetic procedure is known as microblading, and it is very popular because of the progress made on social media platforms. This study was designed to determine the awareness of eyebrow microblading, complication and laser removal in general population of Saudi Arabia.

Sleep disturbance is concomitant with end-stage knee osteoarthritis for which total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is the most commonly done procedure. However, literature on this topic is lacking in terms of the impact of sleep quality on patient satisfaction after arthroplasty, especially the adverse associations of surgery on sleep quality.

Among root nodule bacteria, most rhizobial strains examined are Hup-, while only one Hup- Frankia inoculum had been identified. Previous analyses had led to the identification of two different [NiFe] hydrogenase syntons.

However, there is insufficient evidence regarding its effectiveness and safety. Clinical trials have been conducted to inspect the safety and effectiveness of FMT with and without comparison to pharmacological treatments.

All species can form root nodules in symbiosis with diazotrophic Frankia cluster-2 strains, which form the earliest divergent symbiotic clade within this bacterial genus. Studies on Frankia cluster-2 mostly have focused on strains occurring in the northern hemisphere.

Subject-specific rigid body dynamic (RBD) models calibrated to video captured falls can quantify impact forces and provide additional insights into injury risk factors. RBD models were developed based on five backward falls captured on surveillance video in long-term care facilities in British Columbia, Canada.

Optimizing impact parameters to reduce this variability through experiments is logistically challenging in NHP studies. Finite element models provide a complimentary tool to inform experimental design without the cost and complexity of live animal studies.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLarge animal contusion models of spinal cord injury are an essential precursor to developing and evaluating treatment options for human spinal cord injury. Reducing variability in these experiments has been a recent focus as it increases the sensitivity with which treatment effects can be detected while simultaneously decreasing the number of animals required in a study. Here, we conducted a detailed review to explore if head and neck positioning in a cervical contusion model of spinal cord injury could be a factor impacting the biomechanics of a spinal cord injury, and thus, the resulting outcomes.

The essential oil (OFEO) obtained by hydrodistillation of the flowering aerial parts of Forsskal's Basil " Benth" growing in extreme environmental conditions in Mecca Region, Saudi Arabia was analyzed by GC-MS. The main constituents were phenylpropanoids (methyl eugenol 55.

The present study aimed to analyze the socio-cultural characteristics and attitudes of the Saudi population toward vaccines, using a cross-sectional survey-based approach.
Methods: An online questionnaire was used, following the snowball method.
Introduction: Many researchers have suggested that bismuth composite shields (BCS) reduce breast dose remarkably; however, the level of this reduction and its impact on image quality has not been assessed. This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of nano- and micro- BCS in reducing the dose and image quality during chest computed tomography (CT) scans.
Materials And Methods: Bismuth shields composed of 15 weighting percentage (wt%) and 20 wt% bismuth oxide (BiO) nano- and micro-particles mixed in silicon rubber polymer were constructed in 1 and 1.

Many controversial topics in the microbiological field pose challenges to the pharmacist's ability to attribute a specific opinion to its supported clinical evidence and to discuss these topics with confidence.
Methods: A total of 76 second-year pharmacy students who enrolled in a PharmD program participated in the group debate as part of the student assessment in microbiology course.

Aim: To compare patients who have diabetes and ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) to those with diabetic cardiomyopathy (DMCMP) regarding LV systolic function, diastolic function, in hospital long term and short-term mortality.
A rapid UPLC-MS-MS method was developed and validated for determination of losartan in rabbit plasma. Protonated adducts of losartan and eprosartan (IS) were monitored in multiple reaction monitoring mode. Molecular masses of daughter species of losartan were m/z 423.

The addition of short fibers has been experimentally observed to slow the stress relaxation of viscoelastic polymers, producing a change in the relaxation time constant. Our recent study attributed this effect of fibers on stress relaxation behavior to the interfacial shear stress transfer at the fiber-matrix interface. This model explained the effect of fiber addition on stress relaxation without the need to postulate structural changes at the interface.
