Doxorubicin + cisplatin and paclitaxel + carboplatin are standard chemotherapy regimens for endometrial cancer. The development of PD-1 and PDL-1 antibody drugs has led to the use of these agents for endometrial cancer in other countries. The KEYNOTE-775 trial for advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer demonstrated the benefits of pembrolizumab and lenvatinib combination therapy, and the results of this trial led to the approval of its coverage for recurrent cancer by the Japanese health insurance system.

This approach involves covering the diseased segment with a stented artificial graft. However, in thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) for aortic arch diseases, special consideration is needed to preserve the aortic arch vessels.

Furthermore, we investigated the optimal cutoff values for preoperative radiographic parameters, thereby validating the appropriate inclusion criteria for prearthritic/kinematic unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (prearthritic-UKA).
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 123 patients who underwent medial UKA.

The key to achieving this goal is the effective prevention and management of both the microvascular and macrovascular complications associated with diabetes. Although glycated hemoglobin levels of less than 7% are recommended to minimize complications, individual targets should be set considering variables such as age, duration of diabetes, risk of hypoglycemia, organ function, support system, general health status, and social background.

This study aimed to clarify the relationship between exercise habits in adolescence and old age and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and to compare regional brain volumes and blood biochemical markers associated with cognitive function in older adults.
Methods: Baseline data of 1615 participants aged 65-84 years from the Bunkyo Health Study were analyzed.
Aim: High-risk deliveries are still common due to the increased use of assisted reproductive technologies. In Japan, despite centralization of labor, about half of all deliveries are still carried out in obstetric clinics. Telemedicine support is important for neonatal resuscitation involving urgent, life-altering professional judgment in local deliveries.

However, what should be done after open chest surgery when standard thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) cannot be performed is debatable. Here, we present a case of coil embolization of a newly enlarged ULP that was not amenable to TEVAR following a hemiarch aortic arch repair.

In this study, we compared the short-term functional outcomes of both procedures and identified early postoperative predictors of physical function gain during post-acute rehabilitation. : A total of 435 patients who underwent THA and TKA were included.

Background: When cystic lesions are detected in the chest wall, postoperative seroma and abscesses can be considered in the differential diagnoses. Herein, we present a case of a large chest wall cyst with rapid growth 5 years after thoracic surgery.
Case Presentation: A male patient in his 60s was admitted to our hospital complaining of a rapidly enlarging chest wall swelling.
A 44-year-old man was diagnosed with a giant pheochromocytoma in the right retroperitoneal cavity following treatment for heart failure. Subsequent to improvement in cardiac function, the patient underwent a laparotomy to excise the tumor. Due to its considerable size, partial cardiopulmonary bypass and blood purification therapy were initiated to stabilize hemodynamics during the surgical intervention.

He had developed focal seizures starting from his right upper limb, and MRI showed a lesion in the subcortical white matter of his left parietal lobe. Sensory disturbance and paralysis progressed in his right upper and lower limbs, and his brain lesion rapidly enlarged.

Method: In a cross-sectional study of 1,484 older adults in Tokyo, we evaluated MMV using 3D MRI scanning, appendicular skeletal muscle mass (ASMM), handgrip strength, dietary intake, smoking, insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) levels, and the ACTN3 R577X polymorphism.
During natural disasters such as earthquakes, individuals are required to evacuate calmly amidst significant emotional distress, presenting a considerable challenge. Very few studies have measured emotional responses during disasters, and the emotional responses and brain activity during natural disasters are poorly understood. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate emotional responses during an earthquake using immersive virtual reality (VR), focusing on changes in neural connectivity in the left and right dorsolateral prefrontal cortices (DLPFCs).

Despite the unfavorable conditions for conventional median sternotomy, AVR was successfully performed through an alternate approach.

Methods And Results: We assessed the relationships among various immune cell types, including neutrophils, macrophages (M1 and M2), B cells, and helper T cells (Th1, Th2, Th17, Treg and Tfh ) in human AD tissue. AD tissues displayed abundant infiltration of immune cells.
Background: With the aging of the population worldwide, extending healthy life expectancy is an urgent issue. Muscle mass has been reported to be associated with physical independence and longevity. This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of food intake in urban community-dwelling older adults with low muscle mass.

We adopted the standardized uptake value (SUV) for Ga-citrate and proposed two quantitative indices, active nephritis volume (ANV) and total nephritis uptake (TNU). This study clarified the utility of new Ga-S-based quantitative indices in nephritis management.
