Various types of COVID-19 vaccines, including adenovirus, mRNA, and inactivated ones, have been developed and approved for clinical use worldwide. Inactivated vaccines are produced using a proven technology that is widely used for the production of vaccines for the prevention and control of infectious diseases, including influenza and poliomyelitis. The development of inactivated whole-virion vaccines commonly includes several stages: the production of cellular and viral biomass in cell culture; inactivation of the virus; filtration and ultrafiltration; chromatographic purification of the viral antigen; and formulation with stabilizers and adjuvants.

The paper studies the influence of magnetic field on magnetic and mechanical properties of Cu-Mn-Al alloy under annealing. The comparative analysis of the magnetic field orientation impact on solid solution decomposition processes in a fixed annealing procedure is held using the methods of low-field magnetic susceptibility, specific magnetization, and microhardness test. The paper highlights changes in the magnetic and mechanical properties of Cu-Al-Mn alloy as the result of change in a critical size of forming precipitated ferromagnetic phase and determines correlation in the behavior of magnetic and mechanical properties of the alloy, depending on a critical nucleus size of forming precipitated ferromagnetic phase.

This article is a review of our recent and new experimental works on granular compaction. The effects of various microscopic parameters on the compaction dynamics are addressed, in particular the influence of the grain shape, the friction and the cohesion between the grains. Two dimensional and three dimensional systems are analysed.

Plasmalogens (i.e. plasmenylcholines or plasmenylethanolamines) are a biologically important class of glycerophospholipids that have been difficult to synthesize due to the presence of an acid and oxidatively labile (Z)-vinyl ether substituent at the sn-1 position and a base-labile sn-2 acyl substituent that easily migrates during silica gel purification.

A growing body of literature describes the development and applications of novel targeting and/or contents release triggering schemes to improve the therapeutic index of drugs encapsulated within liposomes. This review focuses on literature appearing between January 1995-December 1997 that report 1) antibody and receptor-mediated targeting approaches for improving drug localization and 2) acid, enzymatic, thermal or photochemical triggering processes that destabilize membranes and improve drug bioavailability via cytoplasmic delivery of liposomal contents.
