Factors that contribute to the pathogenesis of chronic ulcers include oxidative stress, comorbid microbial infections, and the type of immune system response. Patients And Methods: Between 1997 and 2003 a total of 12 patients with liver metastases from a primary colorectal cancer were treated in our department. They were 8 males and 4 females with a median age of 64 years (range 56-70 years).

Background: The aim of this study is to determine the age-associated prognosis in patients who underwent curative resection for colorectal cancer.
Patients And Methods: Between 1993 and 1999, a total of 136 patients underwent curative surgical procedures for colorectal cancer. The study population was divided into three groups according to the age of the patients.
